Relationship between Five Elements and Five Organs of Human Body
Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the organic whole of human beings is an extremely complex unity with the five internal organs as the core. It is dominated by five internal organs, coordinated with six internal organs, and connected with human tissues and organs through meridian network, forming five systems. This is a part of Chinese medicine system theory. Therefore, if we want to talk about TCM health preservation, we have to talk about the internal relationship and mutual support between the five internal organs. Wood fire, earth, golden water, liver, heart, spleen, lung and kidney are like wood to make a fire, that is, the liver helps the heart fire, the liver stores blood, and the heart governs the blood vessels. The normal blood storage function of the liver helps the heart to control the normal function of blood vessels. Fire produces soil, that is, heart fire warms spleen soil, heart governs blood heart, and spleen governs transport and transformation to produce blood. Heart governs blood, and blood can nourish spleen. Only in this way can the spleen play the role of transporting, generating blood and regulating blood. The soil produces gold, that is, the spleen helps the lung to produce gold. The spleen can replenish qi, transform qi and blood, transfer essence to fill the lung, and promote the function of the lung to control qi to make it normal. Raw water, that is, lung gold nourishes kidney water, lung governs diarrhea, kidney governs essence, and lung qi diarrhea helps kidney store essence, absorb qi and control water. Aquatic wood means that kidney water nourishes liver wood, kidney stores essence, and liver stores blood. Kidney essence can transform liver blood and help the normal development of liver function. This relationship between the five internal organs can be explained by the theory that the five elements coexist.
And the corresponding relationship between the five elements and body parts.
