Poyang Lake (in Jiangxi Province)
Poyang Lake is the largest freshwater lake in China, located in the north of Jiangxi Province, with an area of 4 125 square kilometers, and is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. Northwest of the lake is Lushan Mountain, a summer resort. Poyang Lake scenic spot mainly refers to the whole of scenic spots and nature reserves in the lake area. There are 4/kloc-0 islands and 7 nature reserves in the lake area.
There are more than 300 species of migratory birds in Poyang Lake, with nearly one million birds, including more than 50 species of rare birds. It is the largest bird sanctuary in the world. There are about 4000 white cranes in the world. 90% of them wintered in Poyang Lake. Poyang Lake is a world of white cranes and a paradise for waterfowl.
Poyang Lake is an important habitat and germplasm resource bank of Yangtze finless porpoise. The number of finless porpoises is stable and the population structure is reasonable, which belongs to the Yangtze finless porpoise high-quality population. By the end of 20 16, there were about 450 finless porpoises in Poyang Lake, which was five times that in Dongting Lake and half that in China.
Qinghai Lake
Qinghai Lake is called "Cuowenbu" (meaning "blue sea") in Tibetan. Located in the northeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Qinghai Province, it is the largest inland lake and saltwater lake in China. It is formed by the fault subsidence among Datong Mountain, Sun Moon Mountain and Nanshan Mountain in Qilian Mountain and Qinghai Province.
