Development course of moxibustion therapy
Moxibustion therapy is an important part of Chinese medicine and one of the oldest medical methods in traditional medicine. Moxibustion has a good effect on 100 diseases. It has been widely used in clinic in history and has made great contributions to the prosperity of the Chinese nation.

Moxibustion is produced with the application of fire, and it develops continuously in the application practice. When moxibustion was invented, and who invented it, there is no textual research. But it can be said with certainty that moxibustion was very popular as early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, so moxibustion should appear earlier. At present, the medical records of moxibustion treatment are not recorded in medical books, but in the historical book Zuo Zhuan. In 58 1 year BC, Duke Jing of Jin got a serious illness and asked the famous doctor Qin to treat him slowly. After slowly examining Kim's illness, the doctor said, "You can't do this disease, and you can't attack it with phlegm and paste." If it can't be reached, the medicine can't be cured. " Du Yu in Jin Dynasty commented that "attack" refers to moxibustion and "reach" refers to the pointer. The meaning of this passage is that the doctor thinks that Jin's illness can't be cured, because the disease is located above the stomach and under the ointment, and moxibustion, acupuncture and medicine can't be cured. This is also the origin of the idiom "terminally ill". Although medical treatment did not cure Jing's illness, we can see that moxibustion was an important medical means during the Warring States period.

Previously, it was thought that moxibustion was first seen in Huangdi Neijing in medical monographs. However, with archaeological discoveries, the understanding of moxibustion is constantly being revised. 1973, the excavation of No.3 Han Tomb in Mawangdui, Changsha, Hunan, China was a major archaeological discovery that subverted history. Among the unearthed cultural relics, three silk books about meridian moxibustion were found, which were precious medical documents before Neijing, and the understanding of moxibustion in traditional Chinese medicine was greatly promoted. Through these three incomplete texts, we can still get a glimpse of the origin, methods and applications of ancient ancestors treating diseases with fire.

Moxibustion is an independent treatment and health care method, which originated from primitive society in China. After people used fire, they were burned by fire and found to have the effect of treating diseases and healing.

The invention of moxibustion originated in the north. In medical monographs, it was first seen in Su Wenyi's Medical Treatise on French Prescriptions: "The northerners are hidden in heaven and earth, with high mountains and cold places, and their folk music is foraging in the wild, which is full of dirty and cold diseases, so it is appropriate to treat them with moxibustion, so those who moxibustion ice also come from the north." The application of moxibustion is closely related to the cold living environment.

The so-called moxibustion therapy is a method of making moxa sticks from mugwort leaves, burning them in different ways at certain acupoints, directly or indirectly applying appropriate warm stimulation, and achieving the purpose of treatment and health care through the conduction of meridians. Acupuncture and moxibustion are mostly discussed side by side in acupuncture works of past dynasties, but moxibustion is easy to burn human body, so it is gradually lost. At present, the acupuncture department of Chinese medicine hospital only looks at acupuncture and moxibustion, which is really the sorrow of Chinese medicine. In recent years, due to the revival of TCM health culture, moxibustion therapy has attracted people's attention for its magical effect. In particular, the emergence of modern moxibustion therapy has fundamentally solved the problems of traditional moxibustion therapy, such as burning, environmental pollution, inconvenient operation, and easy burning of patients, making it possible to popularize extensive and profound moxibustion therapy in China.
