Chen Tai Ji Chuan: Create "silk-winding strength", and Chen will eventually become Tai Ji Chuan.
Text/Li Tongguo

There is no doubt that "silk-winding strength" is a summary of the characteristics of Chen style boxing, and it is the most classic theory and the most brilliant chapter in the boxing heritage.

He skillfully explained the cultural origin of "the power of binding silk" and Taiji, and established the theoretical system of "the power of binding silk".

The essence of Chen Xin's boxing thought is embodied in: Tai Ji Chuan's segmented solution, boxing classics, Tai Ji Chuan's ignorance, Tai Ji Chuan's great use, Tai Ji Chuan's rules, Tai Ji Chuan's moves, Tai Ji Chuan's use, the essentials of learning boxing, Tai Ji Chuan's five-character slang, Taijiquan's fine circle diagram, Taijiquan's fine square diagram, Taijiquan's fine square diagram, Taijiquan's theory, boxing classics, Taijiquan's songs, sleepy songs and killing boxing.

Chen Xin elaborated the cultural relationship between Tai Ji Chuan's power of binding silk and Taiji in two articles, The Confusion of Taiji Biography and Five Words of Taiji Biography.

He said, "taiji biography imitates the river map to make a fine round picture of silk winding, and the river map is the ancestor of silk winding."

Chen Xin was not the only one who put forward the "Heluo Theory" to create Tai Ji Chuan. He also put forward this view more than ten years ago. Sun Lutang's "Taiji Biography" said, "Zhang Sanfeng followed the meaning of the two classics, used the shape of Zhou Zi's Taiji diagram, took the theory of Heluo, changed the number one after another, let nature take its course, made Taiji biography, and made the beauty of health care clear." He also said: "He Laoshi took the book of Hutuluo as the sutra, the eight diagrams and nine palaces as the latitude, the five actors as the application, and the seven stars and eight diagrams as the practice, creating this Tai Ji Chuan technique." 1 Obviously, Sun Lutang also vaguely thinks that Zhang Sanfeng used the Heluo principle in Tai Ji Chuan's creation.

However, Sun Lutang did not elaborate on how to apply Heluo theory to Tai Ji Chuan's creation, and Chen Xin was much better at this point.

Chen Xin drew the fine winding circle and the fine winding square of Taiji, and imagined their natural connection with Hutuluo's theory. In his view, the "spiral" movement in Chen Boxing presented this immortal law to the world. In this way, he constructed a concrete expression of the combination of culture and Tai Ji Chuan, which was named "Silk-winding Strength".

In the article-by-article explanation of Taiji Biography, "Taiji Biography is a natural person. Borrowing an official skeleton to present one's own image is beyond the reach of human resources. Sages apply this principle to daily interpersonal relationships, and Boxers apply this principle to the luck of eyes, ears, hands and feet. " It shows that Tai Ji Chuan is a boxing practice with the help of Taiji culture, which is an important principle that affects "the way of human relations between heaven and earth and the way of boxing", and shows the origin of Tai Ji Chuan and Taiji culture.

Chen's boxing is known as being stupid.

It's just a description of the relationship between Sizali and Tai Ji Chuan, not written by any great scholar. Chen Xin did a very thorough job. He elaborated the technical characteristics, action methods and laws of the "winding power" in more depth and detail.

He said the rules and methods of exercise.

"Tai Ji Chuan's winding method is also like a spiral shape on the skin." "This essence is always used in sports, so it is natural to fight against people." This essence is on the skin. I don't know that I am not longer than my Tao. "

Tai Ji Chuan is a manifestation of silk winding. When exercising, it is like a screw moving on the skin. If you can understand this strength skill when you practice at ordinary times, you can use it freely when you interact with people. If you don't understand this power, you won't really understand Tai Ji Chuan's principles.

"Tai chi chuan collaterals method also. Its methods are as follows: roll in and roll out, roll left and roll right, roll up and roll down, roll up and roll down, roll up and roll down, and roll up and roll down. Instead of moving the qi to the bone marrow, that is, the truth that yin and yang are fundamental to each other today has also been introduced. But if you want to lead or entangle, you can enter or entangle. You can't be different. If you are different, non-yin and yang are the roots of each other. "

Tai Ji Chuan is the winding method. There are various winding forms of silk, such as advance and retreat, left and right, up and down, inside and outside, front and back, size and so on. Silk winding is established in this complementary and opposite way and cannot exist in isolation from each other.

As for the characteristics.

He said, "Look at the six roads with soft hands. This is a sign that everything is seen from the outside. Speak with boldness of vision, fight hard and soft, and you can fight right. He who is no better than his master can't understand it in detail. "

Tai Ji Chuan is weak outside and strong inside. The world calls it "soft hand", but it only sees the superficial phenomenon. Only a warrior who knows this way can be just right when dealing with people.

"My shoulders are loose, my elbows sink, and I look like a virgin. I look like a tiger going down the mountain." Tai Ji Chuan's training is as quiet as a virgin and as dynamic as a tiger.

Extremely soft and strong; Very quiet, very fast. This is the technical feature of Tai Ji Chuan.

You know the weight by weighing things with your hands. Boxing has its own balance. Because of his priority, I practice spiritually, which is an invisible balance. Invisible weighing force tangible signs should be light and heavy, and should be considered with both hands.

Through practice day after day, Tai Ji Chuan formed a well-trained spirit in the contest with the enemy. In boxing, his hand feels the weight of his opponent's efforts and forms a balance in his mind. The "invisible balance" in the mind stipulates the "tangible sign" of the hand, so that the hand can properly cope with the priorities. This is what modern training says, the high automation of attack and defense ability, and what "On Taiji Biography" says, "From recruiting to gradually realizing strength, from realizing strength to reaching God."

Weighing the heart, strength comes from the heart, and the unity of body and mind is the best hand. This is the characteristic of Tai Ji Chuan's martial arts.

Scholars and fighters have a deep understanding of Chen style boxing. Without any aspect, it is difficult to create such a wonderful and natural theory; Only in this way can all his explanations be impeccable.

Chen's boxing has his own Tai Ji Chuan theory. Since then, his theory has become the standard of Chen and Tai Ji Chuan.
