In 2009, the 5A-level landscape construction project of Yang Guo Laozi Tianjing Palace was included in the "86 1" project 20 10.

On February 20 10, the first phase of Laozi Cultural and Ecological Park started construction, which mainly included: Ziqidonglai Square, tourist service center, entrance commercial street, fish interesting garden, Bagua Island, waterfront landscape in front of the temple, Taoist health pavilion, Laozi Temple upgrading project, meteor garden, etc.

On June 20 10, the symposium on the construction planning of China Laozi Cultural and Ecological Park was held in Beijing. Experts discussed the project construction planning, project management system construction, project product development scheme, project benefit calculation and project development prospect of the ecological park.

20 12 Laozi cultural and ecological park was listed as one of the top ten key construction tourism projects in Anhui province during the 12th Five-Year Plan period.

On March 20 12, the second phase project of Laozi Cultural and Ecological Park began to undertake the main construction contents including 4D animation cinema, ecological restaurant, fitness club, landscape street greening design and ancillary works.

On February 20 13, Laozi Cultural Ecological Park was listed as one of the top ten cultural industrial parks supported by the province.
