Therefore, saints follow the law of the operation of heaven and earth, conform to human nature, are not bound by the secular, and are not tempted by human desires. They take heaven as their father, earth as their mother, yin and yang as their changes, and the four seasons as their code of conduct. The sky is clear, clean, quiet, peaceful and peaceful. Without it, everything dies, but with it, everything lives.

Since heaven and earth have made us adults, there is no need for us to go against nature. How do I know it's not stupid to want to live with acupuncture? How do I know that hanging by rope is not a blessing? Perhaps the living seem to be working hard, while the dead seem to be resting. All at sea. Who can understand the mystery? Therefore, heaven and earth made me, and I won't stop. Heaven and earth destroyed me, and I won't stop it. It is human nature to expect to live, but you don't have to bother to go black; It is human nature to hate death, but when it comes to it, who can refuse? There is no need to hold a grudge, to be praised and to be belittled and complacent. Happy-go-lucky, naturally carefree. I was born seven feet tall, and I could die in a coffin. When you are born, you are juxtaposed with tangible things, and when you die, you become intangible things. In this way, if I live, there won't be much material in the world, and if I die, the soil of the earth won't thicken; From this, how do I know whether I like it or hate it, or whether it is good or bad?

Creators make things just as potters make pottery. Those who borrow soil from the ground, borrow mud to make pots and horns are no different from when they are still digging in the ground. Those that have been made into utensils and then broken and scattered back into the soil are no different from those made into pots. People who live by the river draw water from the river to irrigate the vegetable garden, and the river will never hold a grudge for it; People whose depressions are invaded by stagnant water will introduce sewage into rivers, and sewage will never be happy. Because there is no difference between water used for irrigation and water in the river; Similarly, when water is in the sewer and water is in the river, there is no difference between them. Therefore, the sage is content with his position, suitable for the times, and happy with his career.

Sadness or happiness is a departure from virtue; Moodiness is harmful to Tao; Distinguishing between likes and dislikes is a violent step in the heart. Therefore, "life is like a natural movement of heaven and earth, and death is like a natural change of matter." When it is quiet, it is closed by yin, and when it is moving, it is opened by yang. " The spirit is at a standstill and does not escape with the material world, so the world will naturally submit. So the heart is the master of the form; Spirit is the treasure of the soul. The so-called real person, its nature and Tao are one. So he is both tangible and intangible, both real and nothingness; He is single-minded, does not ask anything else, pays attention to inner cultivation, and is not moved by external things; He is pure and pure, doing nothing, returning to simplicity, embracing God, wandering between heaven and earth, wandering in the world and enjoying the initial chaotic state of the universe. He has a strong heart, and any cleverness and treachery are not hidden in it. So even a big event like life and death can't change him; Even if it's upside down, it won't change him. He is cautious about immaculate nature, does not mix with foreign things, and sticks to the fundamentals in the face of chaotic world. That's it. He forgot his courage, his eyes and ears, and devoted himself to inner cultivation, so that his spirit and Tao could be integrated. He didn't know what he was doing when he was alive, and he didn't know where he was going when he acted. He is like a log, and his heart is dying, forgetting the five internal organs and damaging the skeleton; You can understand without learning, see without looking, do without doing, and be cured without caring. He will only react when he is touched, act when he is forced, and go when he has to, just like the light shining, just like the shadow imitating something. He takes Tao as the criterion and relies on "Tao style" to show this. He clings to this heaven without indulgence, so foreign things can't disturb his mind. He is open-minded, quiet and carefree. Therefore, Ozawa's burning does not make him feel hot, the frozen river does not make him feel cold, the thunder blows on the mountain peaks does not make him afraid, and the dark wind cannot hurt him. So he regards precious pearls and jade as stones, the supreme emperor as a passer-by, and the beautiful woman as an ugly woman. He regards life and death as a kind of change, everything is one thing, and the spirit is in harmony with heaven, roaming in the boundless realm. He has the essence without using it, the magical power without showing it, and he is integrated with the simple avenue, based on the quiet and empty environment. Therefore, real people don't dream when they sleep, their ingenuity doesn't sprout, their yin qi doesn't suppress, and their yang soul doesn't soar. He went round and round, not knowing the beginning and the end. Although he sleeps peacefully in the long night, he can see everything in the bright world; He can rest in the borderless area or roam in the shapeless boundary. He had no specific appearance when he was alive, and no specific residence when he was alive; He moves without leaving a trace, and he can't see the still body; If you live, if you die, if you live, if you die; He can go in and out without gaps, and he can also serve ghosts and gods; He can not only enter unmeasurable places, but also in places where there is no space. This is the different forms of real magic. From beginning to end, I turned around like a circle, and I couldn't understand the inspiration. This is the mystery that human spirit can reach Tao. These are the actions of real people.

Breathe bragging, spit out dirty air and breathe in fresh air, like a bear hanging, like a bird stretching its neck, like a duck floating, like an ape jumping, like an eagle looking around, like a tiger looking back. People who do some actions just want to maintain their health, but real people don't have to worry about these guiding skills. Because a real person will not lose all his essence even if he is full of spirits, and the changes of day and night will not hurt him. He is as young and energetic as anything else. This is because his personality conforms to the Tao and he has the ability to perceive the changes of the four seasons in his heart. Some people's bodies have changed, but their hearts are intact. Some people's lives are over, but their spirits are intact and eternal. This is like a person with boils. Although his body is damaged, his spirit is intact and his interests remain unchanged. On the other hand, some mental patients seem to be in good shape, but their spirits are far away from their bodies. Who has leisure time to find out what they have done! Therefore, if someone's body has not changed despite wear and tear, then such a person can cope with change with constancy; Even if things outside are ever-changing and fruitless, he can still cope with it freely. Therefore, the changeable form will eventually return to invisibility, while the immortal spirit can coexist with heaven and earth. When a tree dies, its green color disappears. Where can a tree live is the tree itself? It's like it's not the form itself that enriches the form. Therefore, what produces life is immortal, and the life it produces will also die; What nurtures everything is constant, but everything it nurtures will change. Therefore, if you look down on the world, your spirit will not be tired; Look at small things, and your mind will not be confused; Seeing life and death as one, there is no fear; Think of change as constant, and your eyes will not be dim. Mediocre people may think what I said is crazy, but I will give such an example to illustrate.

People are keen to be the Emperor of Heaven because the Emperor of Heaven can exhaust his eyes and ears and make his body comfortable. From this perspective, the highest honor is not obtained by title, and the greatest wealth possession is not measured by money. The world is big enough, but Yao gave it to others; Physical life is precious enough, but Guangwu threw his life into the abyss. Nothing is more precious and memorable than the world and life, but Yao He gave up these things without hesitation and really enjoyed it. Because they are not tired of things, nor do they regard the world as extremely precious. Therefore, we will be ashamed of many secular behaviors in the world by examining the above-mentioned theories of real people and even people, deeply exploring moral will and taking this theory and will as the standard to examine and measure them. Therefore, people who don't know how to keep the atmosphere festival don't know that it is not worth greed to drag out an ignoble existence; People who have never accepted lofty thoughts and remarks do not know that this world is not worth nostalgia. Now those remote places offer sacrifices to social gods, and local people knock on pots and bottles to play music and sing for their own amusement. On the other hand, if you knock gongs and drums and bells for these people, they will feel uncomfortable and at a loss, and they will feel that the pots and pans they have smashed are so insignificant and embarrassing. Those who don't understand the grand plan of the avenue, although they have poems and songs and have the practice of literary theory, are just people who knock on pots and smash bottles.

People who don't respect the world are like those who beat gongs and drums. The power and rich profits of nobles are what ordinary people desire; If a person is asked to commit suicide with a map of the world in his left hand and a knife in his right hand, no matter how stupid he is, he will not do it. It can be seen that life is still more important than occupying the world. Therefore, saints eat only to maintain their lives, and clothes are only to cover their bodies and meet people's basic needs, without asking for anything extra. For him, not possessing the world will not lose his nature, and possession will not disturb his peaceful nature. It is really the same for a saint to possess the world and not to possess it. If a person is given a granary and a river now, so that he can eat when he is hungry and drink when he is thirsty, but all he eats and drinks is a bamboo rice and a ladle of water in his stomach, the granary and the river will not dry up because he is full of food and drink. Therefore, whether there is a granary or a river has nothing to do with his hunger; With the river in the granary, he will not be forced to feed and irrigate. There is no river in the granary, and he will not be exhausted from hunger. It makes no difference to him whether there is a granary or a well. Great anger will ruin Yin Qi, great joy will ruin Yang Qi, great worry will ruin internal organs, and panic will drive people crazy. The best way to eliminate these mental troubles and burdens is not to deviate from the "Tao" body. If this can be done, it is called complete "access". Therefore, it is best to keep your eyes bright, your ears quiet, your mouth closed and your mind open. Abandon cleverness and wisdom, return to the pure realm, save your strength and abandon wisdom and deceit. Being awake is like dreaming, living is like dying, and finally returning to the initial stage of nature, so that people and nature can be integrated. Because life and death are inseparable.

At this time, if you can sleep well, then his parents and brothers will be very happy. And if you can have a safe night, the joy and ease of serving his parents and brothers will not be so much. Therefore, people who know the vastness of the universe cannot intimidate him with life and death; People who know how to keep healthy with the spirit of neutralization can't seduce him with the powerful fortune in the world; People who know how to be happy before birth can't scare him with death; People who understand that Xu You is nobler than Yu Shun will not covet material comforts. If the wall stands upright, it will be better if it falls down, not to mention there is no wall at all! It's better if the frozen ice doesn't melt, not to mention there is no ice at all! From scratch, from scratch, this transformation between life and death is endless, and no one knows how it happened. How can people who are not familiar with "inside and outside" not love and hate? The outer area without outer edges is infinite; Intrinsic subtlety without internal limitations is precious. If we can know this infinity and infinitesimal, what can't be perfectly satisfied!

With the decline of modern morality, people cling to the doctrine of abandoning the roots and pursuing the end, do not know how to infer nature, return to simplicity, but deliberately carve and cover up the disobedient nature to communicate with the secular. Therefore, their eyes want to see colorful, but they can't help but dare not look because of the prohibition of the law; Although I have some hobbies in my heart, I dare not because of etiquette constraints; So that people can only curry favor with each other, act in collusion with each other, bow and scrape. Don't dare to eat frozen meat, and don't dare to drink wine when it's settled. Bound the normal behavior, bound the inner virtue, bound the harmony of Yin and Yang, and suppressed the true feelings of life, so he finally became a tragic figure. However, people who are enlightened are not like this. They correct their temperament and repair their hearts; Keep your mind at peace, and keep your nature at ease. They take pleasure in Tao and forget its meanness, and take virtue as their heart and forget its poverty; They are born without desire, so there is nothing they can't achieve; They don't pursue happiness with their heart, so there is nothing unhappy; He will not affect virtue with things that are not conducive to nature, nor will he disturb inner peace with things that are not suitable for pure nature. Therefore, people who know the Tao relax their bodies and relieve their thoughts. This natural law of self-cultivation can be an example for all people in the world.

Today's Confucianism does not explore the origin of people's desires, but only prohibits people's desires, does not explore the origin of people's pursuit of pleasure, and just stops people's enjoyment. It's like digging the source of a river and blocking it with your palm. Similarly, managing people is like raising animals. If you don't plug the gap in the garden fence, the animals will have the ambition to escape, and then you will tie the legs and feet of these animals to prevent them from escaping. How can they cultivate their self-cultivation and live a long life? Such a depressed mood, distorted and deformed human nature, is still forcibly suppressing myself, so I can't enjoy life. People who know it are not. They eat according to their appetite, dress according to their body shape, swim according to their shelter, and walk according to their situation. They live in the boundless sky, walk in endless areas, climb into space, lean on the sky, and play with heaven and earth in their hands. How can they lose weight for the rich and the poor? Therefore, Confucianism can't make people have no desires, but only prohibit people's desires; You can't stop people from having fun, but you can only stop people from having fun. This practice of making people afraid to steal just because they are afraid of punishment is not comparable to the practice of making people have no idea of stealing.
