The Origin of Place Names in Baiqi Hui Nationality Township
Leitian has long been called "Leitian". According to the Hui 'an Political Book compiled by Hui 'an County Magistrate from Ming Dynasty to Wanli, the twenty-three Hui 'an cities are divided into Baiqi Store, beginning of spring Store, Liangmu Store, Gaokeng Store, Shandou Store, Hecuo Store, Daishang Store, Dashan Store, Luocuo Store, Jipu Store and Luocuo Store. Why is it called "white wood"? The reason is that there is a rugged and winding stone road leading to Santai Mountain in the south of my hometown called "Qi Baishi", and the obvious feature of this terrain is the origin of the place name "Qi Baishi". "Baiqi" has a narrow sense and a broad sense since the Ming Dynasty. It is not only the name of a natural village, but also the name of a shop. The scope of this shop is now Hui nationality township.

According to the epitaph of Quan Zu Guo Deguang, there is the word "back to the white flag"; There are Guo genealogy and genealogy records handed down from Ming and Qing dynasties, all of which are called "Wenling White Banner" locally. From then on, this name became the collective name of these villages where Guo lived, and the "White Flag" natural village was renamed "White Flag".

1990, according to the regulations at that time, village names could not be duplicated, so "Baiqi" and "Baiqi" were combined into one, and the name became "Baiqi".
