Weifang, known as Weixian in ancient times, also known as Du Yuan, is located in the middle of Shandong Peninsula. It is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Shandong Province and adjacent to Qingdao, Rizhao, Zibo, Yantai and Linyi. The hinterland of central Shandong leads to the throat of the peninsula, and the Ji Jiao Railway runs through the east and west of central Shandong, which is the geographical center of the peninsula urban agglomeration. It is located at the important intersection of the Yellow River Delta Efficient Ecological Economic Zone and the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone.
