Talking about gastric peristalsis, when it comes to this topic, we will organize a free clinic in Pinggu and Dahuashan from Beijing CPPCC:

I met a patient at that time:

The patient is a female patient in her fifties, who is relatively thin. When she described it to me, she said that my stomach was motionless and I couldn't digest food. I asked, I said what kind of treatment you had, and she said, I went for a checkup, and I described my symptoms. I wanted to eat, but I didn't digest it after eating.

So many doctors have prescribed some drugs to help me digest and promote gastrointestinal peristalsis, but it seems to have some effect on me, but it is not so obvious and will never be relieved obviously.

Later, I also learned some methods of keeping in good health, and listened to some lectures you gave on TV or on the Internet, so I think it should be considered that the stomach is not peristalsis and the spleen and stomach are weak. I should do moxibustion. As a result, I also did moxibustion in my stomach for a while, and it didn't wriggle, and the effect was not obvious. what do you think? I don't want to take medicine either. Is there any way to relieve the symptoms?

For everyone, everyone is familiar with spleen and stomach deficiency and cold, that is to say, the peristalsis of the stomach is actually reduced. Then, if you give him some warm stimulation, for example, people in this situation often tend to eat cold things, and their gastrointestinal peristalsis has declined, or their gastrointestinal function has been weak since childhood, which leads to a slow and slow gastric peristalsis, so there has been a decline.

Then this weakness can be manifested by moxibustion, or by some drugs that promote digestion and absorption. For example, those drugs with scorched characters, such as scorched flexion and extension, burnt hawthorn, fried malt, fried rice buds, etc., can help gastrointestinal peristalsis, plus some drugs that promote qi, such as nutmeg and dried tangerine peel, can promote qi at a wide temperature and so on. Even some friends will take Lizhong Pill as a folk prescription to solve the deficiency and cold of spleen and stomach. After eating, the gastrointestinal peristalsis will be accelerated, and what you eat can be digested and absorbed, and the human body will gradually gain weight, become healthier and more energetic. So this is the manifestation of deficiency syndrome and the phenomenon of deficiency-cold syndrome.

But my friend just used these similar methods repeatedly, but it didn't work. So what's her reason? This is another situation. The two functions of the spleen and stomach in the body are often described. The function of the stomach is digestion, absorption and peristalsis, which belongs to one of the six fu organs. Spleen is one of the five internal organs, which should be the main transport and management of the stomach, that is to say, the rhythm of gastric peristalsis is managed by spleen, which plays a management role in the stomach, that is, your peristalsis. Let you move when it is time to move, and let you not move when it is time to move. This is the function of the spleen.

How to understand spleen? I remember that there used to be acupoints to strengthen the spleen, which was the most spleen-strengthening. These episodes have explained in detail the significance of understanding the spleen from the perspective of meridians.

Spleen refers to the structure of abdomen and abdominal wall to a certain extent, which has the ability of abdominal pressure, that is, the gastrointestinal tract and glands in abdominal cavity contract through abdominal wall, which can have a good spatial environment, natural rhythm, coordinated dietary rhythm, good digestion and absorption ability, transportation ability and excretion ability. This is the function of the spleen, the so-called management function of the spleen.

So what does deficiency and cold of spleen and stomach mean? It is said that the spleen's ability didn't work, and the stomach wriggled there. The support of the spleen for this peristalsis of the stomach is relatively weak. It can be said that the spleen is in a soft state and does not regulate abdominal pressure well, so at this time, you gave a thermal stimulus and the stomach peristalsis, which led to the changes of spleen and abdominal pressure. So the first is stomach peristalsis, accompanied by intestinal peristalsis, gastrointestinal movement, and then the pressure in the abdominal cavity increases, so the spleen begins to move gradually, and it begins to play a role gradually.

So at this time, we should go to moxibustion at Zhongwan point, Shenque point and Qihai point. Right in the middle of the navel is the Shenque, from the middle of the navel to the junction of the chest and sword, that is, the position where the lower edge of the sternum meets the xiphoid process. The middle point is Zhongwan point, the middle part of the stomach, plus Shenque in the center of the navel, plus the position of the lower two fingers of Shenque, and Qihai point is at 1.5 inch. These acupoints have been introduced in detail before.

Then among the three acupoints, Zhongwan points face the stomach, Qihai points face the small intestine, and Shenque points are in between. Moxibustion at these three points can make the gastrointestinal tract peristalsis, so the order of moxibustion is from top to bottom. First, Zhongwan point makes the stomach peristalsis first, and then Shenque point, because there are abundant abdominal venous network and nerve plexus under Shenque point. Through this stimulation, the excitability of the whole abdominal cavity is a good benign stimulation. In addition, the lower point of Qihai makes the small intestine peristalsis, so continuous moxibustion at these three points from top to bottom is helpful to increase gastrointestinal peristalsis, and then the spleen begins to be healthy. Increasing the spleen will increase the abdominal wall's good management of gastrointestinal peristalsis rhythm. This is customary, a common situation, or a well-known situation.

But that's not the case with that patient just now. Don't forget that she is thin and has weak gastrointestinal motility. Sometimes the abdominal wall is in a state of high tension, and the pressure on the abdominal wall is relatively large, indicating that the management of the spleen is too strong, and the stomach is suppressed by the spleen, which leads to the weakening of gastric peristalsis. It's not that your stomach doesn't want to move, you also give it warm stimulation. You give some drugs to promote peristalsis and want to move, but there is always a rope tied around, and there is always a layer of skin outside to stop you from moving, so the stomach's immobility is that the spleen won't let it move.

What should we do? The spleen should be relaxed, so it is often said that this method is called reducing abdominal pressure to relieve excessive abdominal pressure. There is a point called Abdominal Mourning, which means "Abdominal distension, which is good, and it will drop quickly as soon as you get angry", which is one of the symptoms of the spleen meridian of Foot Taiyin. This symptom describes the manifestations of abdominal pressure and bloating.

One result of abdominal distension is that the stomach does not peristalsis, so we should analyze it and distinguish between excess and deficiency. Deficiency has spleen and stomach weakness, so the spleen has no good rhythm effect on the normal peristalsis of the stomach and plays a management role. Therefore, it is necessary to speed up gastric peristalsis and intestinal peristalsis, and then enhance the regulatory ability of the spleen.

Then if the management ability of the spleen is too strong, the abdominal pressure is too high, and the stomach is fine, the result is that the peristalsis of the stomach is weakened, or there is something wrong with the stomach, but because the management function is too strong. Therefore, it is difficult for drugs or external physical stimuli to play a role.

What should we do to regulate the function of the spleen, so this time is not a method of strengthening the spleen, but a method of soothing the liver. By regulating the relationship between liver and spleen, the liver is like a regulating valve. When loosening, gastrointestinal peristalsis can be directly used to regulate the function of spleen; When it is tight, the liver is depressed by the spleen, which leads to excessive suppression of the spleen, so it is necessary to soothe the liver.

The position of soothing the liver is still the point of spleen meridian, that is, abdominal mourning. Because it is the intersection of rectus abdominis and diaphragm, I found the place where the knots gathered and plucked my hair there. Like the patient just now, judging from this situation, she belongs to liver depression and spleen. The so-called liver depression does not necessarily have emotional problems, in short, it is the excessive resistance and suppression of the spleen to the stomach, and its function is difficult to play.

So in this case, I want to go to the abdominal pain point of the rib arch, so I used a very thin needle, very short, and gently touched the fascia area and the condensation point. As a result, with a grunt, I saw her originally tight abdomen relax, and then the peristalsis of the whole gastrointestinal tract began to increase.

At first, there was an air knot in my stomach, which was obvious. When she described it to me, he said that there was a feeling of beam under my position, sometimes there was, sometimes there was no, this description, this symptom accords with the characteristics of pathogenesis, so we used abdominal mourning. When he is angry, he will soon become weak, so he will feel soft, so he can gently stimulate the pain points in his abdomen, and soon his gastrointestinal tract will rumble. After a while, he said, I feel hungry.

This is a very good phenomenon, so imagine what we should do. You may not have a needle in your hand, but the way I give it to you is to pluck hair or relieve abdominal pain in the rib arch. I also taught patients how to take care of themselves. Every day you put the palm root on the lower edge of your rib arch and rub it back and forth. This is the simplest and most accurate method, that is, the so-called ribbed arch. Find the intersection of rectus abdominis and rib arch, and touch the lower edge of rib arch. It hurts to touch that position with that tendon knot. This is a way to stimulate abdominal pain.

Both methods can have good results. Try this method, but be sure to distinguish whether the stomach can't move by itself or the stomach needs to move the spleen to prevent the stomach from moving!
