Gao Jianzhong. Notes on Reading Prescriptions (83) Clinical Discussion on Banxia Xiexin Decoction
Ye's clinical guide to medical records (dampness 54): Cai, Yang deficiency with dampness, pathogenic heat invading, so the gods are ignorant. Discussion on catharsis.

Ginseng Radix, Zingiberis Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, Radix Paeoniae Alba.

I'm talking about catharsis, not catharsis soup.

Wu Jutong's Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases: During the May 4th Movement, the damp-heat was unclear in the upper energizer, the morning deficiency was depressed, the mind was blurred, and the tongue was slippery and the pulse was slow. Ginseng Xiexin Decoction and Radix Paeoniae Alba were the main indications.

Ginseng 2 yuan, dried ginger 2 yuan, Coptidis Rhizoma 1 yuan.50, Scutellariae Radix 1 yuan.50, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus 1 yuan, Radix Paeoniae Alba 2 yuan, five glasses of water, boiled for two times. Remove the dregs and cook another cup of clothes.

Wet in the upper coke, if the middle coke is not deficient, it will always be in the upper coke and will not sink in, or it will inevitably lead to sink in because of insufficient middle coke or accidental injury of medicine. People are wet, their heads are wrapped, their eyes are blurred, and the heat energy is dizzy, so the ignorant gods are different from the heat evil and go straight into the envelope.

Because of internal deficiency, ginseng is used to protect internal yang, and white peony is used to protect true yin, and dampness is trapped inside. Therefore, dried ginger is used, and bitter orange is bitter and pungent, so Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi and Coptis chinensis are used to relieve pain. This evil has sunk in, and its potential cannot return to the surface. The method can be used to relieve diseases and treat them internally.

The Xiexin decoction we learned earlier did not mention Paeonia lactiflora, but what we see here is Xiexin decoction plus Paeonia lactiflora.

We may find it boring to read one, two or part of it alone, but when we relate it back and forth, for example, from Banxia Xiexin Decoction to Yehe, we suddenly find that it is absolutely meaningful and comes from clinic.

At least we seem to be very successful in applying a Banxia Xiexin decoction to damp heat.

Clinical Guide to Ye Medical Records (Malaria 74): In addition, tender heart, self-interest, white tongue and irritability are all damp-heat blocking qi. Discuss the opening and closing, and use Xiexin decoction.

Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Scutellariae Radix, Zingiberis Rhizoma, Rhizoma Pinelliae, Ginseng Radix and Fructus Aurantii Immaturus.

Again, the air is a little clearer and the pain gradually drops to the navel. Dampness is in qi and heat is in blood. Vomiting blood is still a reverse behavior. If the fever is stagnant, it will be smooth from bottom to top.

Chuanlian, Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Zingiberis Rhizoma, Pinellia ternata, Ginseng Radix, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, Radix Paeoniae Alba, and fried hawthorn meat.

One is to discuss the opening and closing inside, and to use Xiexin decoction is to remove licorice, jujube and Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, and the other is to remove licorice, jujube and Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, white peony and hawthorn.

Wu Jutong's Treatise on Febrile Diseases: Seventy-four, damp pathogen is very hot, malaria pathogen accumulates under the heart, white tongue is thirsty, impatient and self-interested, initial body pain, and later heart pain. Xiexin decoction is the main treatment.

Clinical Guide to Ye Yi's Medical Records (Malaria 79): Willow, summer heat and dampness are harmful to qi, not thirsty and vomiting, cold limbs and warm heart. It's lunar malaria. Bitterness with bitterness is still appropriate, or it helps to explain the depression of internal heat.

Sichuanlian, Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, fried Pinellia ternata, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, Radix Paeoniae Alba, ginger juice and Niuhuang Pills are used for those who are upset.

Wu Jutong's Treatise on Febrile Diseases: Chronic qi, spleen malaria due to Taiyin, cold in the four tails, no thirst, vomiting, warming the heart, and Huanglian Shaoyao Decoction as the main prescription. If you are very upset, you can take Niuhuang Pills.

Huanglian Baibai Decoction (bitter, bitter and cold method);

Rhizoma Coptidis, Scutellariae Radix, Rhizoma Pinelliae, San Qian, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, Radix Paeoniae Alba, San Qian, five spoonfuls of ginger juice, eight glasses of water, three cups of boiling water, and three warm servings.

Spleen governs the limbs, and cold begins at the end of the four seasons without thirst, so it is called spleen malaria. Heat gathers the heart and vomits too much, and the disease of Middle Earth causes the liver and wood to take advantage of it, so the prescription is mainly to harmonize the liver and stomach. This is very hot, so the heat-clearing product is heavy, and peony is also used to collect spleen yin.

Clinical guide to Ye Yi's medical records (Xie 90): land, damp-heat connotation, middle jiao pi, Yang Qixu. If the wet injection is uncomfortable, God will be confused and will become soft and convulsive.

Stir-fried Pinellia ternata, Ginseng Radix, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Zingiberis Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix, and ginger juice.

Wu Jutong's Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases: 90, depression, damp-heat accumulation, lump in middle energizer, vague consciousness, with Xiexin Decoction as the main indication.

Even if you are fascinated, as long as it is moderately hot and humid, Xiexin decoction is still needed.

After reading all the way, Ye He had many opportunities to warm up and add Fructus Aurantii Immaturus on the basis of Banxia Xiexin Decoction, which may be related to damp-heat syndrome.

Clinical Guide to Ye Yi's Medical Records (Malaria 77): Yang has been suffering from malaria for a long time, and the heat robs gastric juice, so he is not hungry, inconvenient to eat, thirsty and unwilling to drink, and his taste turns sour and turbid. Medicine can change the stomach and make it work.

Ginseng Radix, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, Concha Ostreae, Dried Ginger and Ginger.

Wu Jutong's Treatise on Febrile Diseases: Seventy-seven, malaria injures stomach yang, qi goes against its will, heat robs gastric juice, hunger is not enough, eating is inconvenient, and the taste becomes sour and turbid, so Ginseng Xiexin Decoction is mainly modified.

Ginseng Xiexin Decoction (bitter, pungent, warm, salty and cold);

Ginseng is two dollars, Coptis is one and a half dollars, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus is one dollar, dried ginger is one and a half dollars, ginger is two dollars, and oysters make up the money. Five glasses of water, two cups of boiling water and two pieces of warm clothes.

We may not be able to understand how Wu Jutong adds and subtracts in a short time. Why do we add and subtract like this? However, at least it can tell us that the previous addition and subtraction methods are particularly good.

The combination of great passion, great temperature, great bitterness and great cold is the method of Jueyin meridian. Liver should be warm, gallbladder should be cool, Zhongjing Wu Meiyuan, Xiexin Decoction, the eternal method, was first seen in Xiaochaihu. The syndrome of malaria disturbs the stomach, causing stomach qi to go up and down, but who will use this pungent, warm and cold to treat it?

Cover the stomach for the fu-organs, the body for the yang and use the yin, and the decline is not increased. It vomits a lot, and sometimes it goes up against the stomach, so it is not the stomach, but the liver and gallbladder that makes the stomach go up. Therefore, the ancients regarded vomiting as a liver disease, but today people think that stomach diseases have spread to their ears.

Wu Jutong thinks that the combination of Daxin and Dahan is the definition of Jueyin Meridian. He put ebony pill and Xiexin decoction together. It seems that Wu Jutong thinks that Xiexin decoction belongs to Jueyin disease. He put Wu Mei Pill and Xiexin Decoction in the same prescription, which is rare for later note writers. Moreover, he thinks that Xiaochaihu Decoction, Wu Mei Pill and Banxia Xiexin Decoction belong to the same category, which may be only a matter of degree, or the six meridians are different. However, this combination of hot and cold first shows its end.

Starting from Zhongjing, this combination of pungent, warm, cold and bitter represents Xiexin Decoction, Wu Mei Pill and other prescriptions, and then reached a higher level in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties.

Clinically, we have seen a lot of vomiting lesions, which seem to be stomach qi rushing up, but in fact, liver and gallbladder qi rushing up. At this time, it suddenly occurred to us that Zhang Qi's book was about Dai Zhe, saying that Dai Zhe lowered his stomach, his liver and his impulse. In fact, he saw symptoms in clinic, the most direct one is the upward rush of stomach qi, followed by two upward rushes of stomach qi and liver qi. Wu Jutong also emphasized this point here. Vomiting seems to be an upwelling of stomach qi, but in many cases it is actually an upwelling of liver qi and gallbladder qi behind it.
