Concept:
Spirulina is a kind of spiral marine micro-plant, named spirulina because of its shape, also known as cyanobacteria. With a history of 3.5 billion years, it is one of the oldest creatures on earth. It has strong photosynthesis and adsorption capacity of various elements. Distributed in tropical alkaline waters (oceans or saltwater lakes). The optimum temperature is 25 to 35 degrees, and the temperature difference between day and night is about 10 degrees. Spirulina is rich in nutrients such as protein, vitamins, unsaturated fatty acids, and various trace elements, and it is the most abundant, balanced and suitable nutrient in animals and plants found so far.
_________
The discovery and origin of spirulina;
1492, Columbus's fleet sailed into the Gulf of Mexico. As soon as the crew landed, they were surrounded by natives armed with spears. One of the crew members was stabbed by an aborigine and bled profusely. Columbus made it clear to the indigenous leaders what he wanted, and only then did he make peace. The stabbed crew drowned because of excessive blood flow. A kind indigenous girl gives him a green biscuit every day. Soon his wound healed and his body recovered quickly. This green biscuit is made of spirulina from Lake Teskoko, Mexico.
During 1940, French pharmacist Kreiger visited Lake Chad in Africa and found that the local aborigines were very strong in the desert where grazing and farming were impossible. This aroused Kreiger's curiosity. He examined their food deeply and found that they added dried spirulina to their food or soup. Kreiger brought this green powder back to France and gave it to Dr. Tangirqing, an algae scientist at the University of Paris, for analysis and testing. He found that this kind of green powder contains rich and balanced nutrients, surpassing any living thing on the earth, because its appearance under the microscope is spiral. So it is called spirulina. However, this great discovery was drowned by the smoke of World War II.
1942, when Dr. Kreman from French National Petroleum Research Institute visited Lake Chad in Africa, he found a large number of green algae growing in the local lake. At the turn of summer and autumn, the autumn wind rises and algae gather. The local people hunt for a living. Summer and autumn are the off-season for hunting. When there is no hunting, the local natives will use very fine nets to salvage seaweed, dry it and make it into cakes to eat. Eating this green cake for a long time makes the local people look particularly strong. Keliman returned to Paris with this green powder. The results show that it is a spirochete-like algae with extremely rich nutrition, so it is named Spirulina.
From 65438 to 0967, the 7th International Petroleum Congress was held in Mexico City. Keliman introduced the discovery of spirulina and its research report at the conference, which caused a sensation. Shortly after the discovery of spirulina in Kreman, spirulina was also found in Lake Tishkoco, a suburb of Mexico.
1973, the world's first spirulina breeding farm was born in Lake Tischikoko, Mexico-human beings began to formally produce spirulina.
Up to now, there are more than 30,000 lakes in the world, and only Lake Tishkoko in Mexico, Lake Chad in Africa and Chenghai in Yunnan, China can naturally grow spirulina.
The earliest spirulina culture in China began in Yunnan 1985, and was listed in the national key scientific and technological projects. Subsequently, spirulina factories all over the country started to compete in the market. Hainan Spirulina stands out as one of the two bases that keep pace with Yunnan. Spirulina likes to grow in tropical and subtropical areas with high temperature, dryness, good water quality and little rainfall. Abundant sunshine, pollution-free seawater and fresh and pure air make Hainan unique in cultivating excellent spirulina.
____________
Six most spirulina species:
1, protein content is about 60%, while soybean is 40%, milk powder 13-22% and lean meat 16-22%.
2. Spirulina is rich in β-carotene (the content of vitamin A is 15 times that of carrot, which is the highest in natural foods found at present).
3. The content of tocopherol (vitamin E) is the highest among plants.
4. (Vitamin B 12) is the highest in plants.
5. The content of phycocyanin (used to prevent and treat cancer) is as high as 17%, which is the highest among plants.
6, SOD (superoxide dismutase) content reached 20000 to 60000 units.
