Guilin is located in the southwest of Nanling Mountains, the southern end of Gui Xiang Corridor and the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located at109 36 ′ 50 ″-129 ′ 30 ″ east longitude and 2415 ′ 23 ″-26 26 ″ north latitude. It borders Hunan Province in the north and northeast, and Hezhou City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the southeast.
