Lai Yuning took a night view of Yili River Bridge.

Focus on urban governance, in the water side.

I remember when I was in junior high school, the school organized us to work on the farm every semester. I work in the south bank of Yili River, and my family lives in the north bank of Yili River. Every morning and evening, I passed the only Ili River Bridge at that time.

Although it was hard to go back and forth at that time, I stood on the Ili River Bridge every morning to watch the sunrise and the sunset at night. That scene will remain in my young memory forever.

The Ili River originates from the north side of Mount Khan Tengger in Tianshan Mountain. It is one of the three major international rivers in Xinjiang and a cross-border river between China and Kazakhstan. The main stream of its upper reaches is called Tekes River, which flows through Zhaosu-Tekes Valley from west to east, turns north in Chafuqihai Canyon, flows through Gongnaisi Farm, and joins the east branch of Gongnaisi River, which is called Yili River. Then it flows out of the country near Sandaohezi Hydrological Station in Huocheng, and finally flows into Balkhash Lake.

The older generation often said that in the 1950s, small ships were often seen on the Ili River. But in my memory, there are no small steamboats sailing in this river, but people can often be seen fishing, swimming, singing and dancing on the shore. The Ili River has become a good place for people of all ethnic groups on both sides of the strait to have a rest, have fun, have a holiday and talk about love among young people.

Ili Valley is known as the "South of the Great Wall" because of its pleasant climate and rich products. Ili Valley is also a historical and cultural shrine in Xinjiang, which has witnessed the footprints of Ili and even Xinjiang since ancient times.

On the north bank of Kashi River, one of the main tributaries in the upper reaches of Yili River, 20 15, in order to cooperate with the construction of Jirentai Reservoir, archaeologists conducted a rescue excavation of an ancient relic, and found the earliest and largest settlement site with bronze age as the main body in Yili River Valley. This discovery is of great value to the study of prehistoric times division, cultural pedigree and settlement form in Xinjiang, and was selected as one of the six new archaeological discoveries in China in 20 16. During the third archaeological excavation of the site on 20 18, archaeologists found a large number of coal ash and unburned coal blocks. This discovery pushed the history of coal use in the world for at least 1000 years, and obtained ten new archaeological discoveries in China in 20 18.

Princess Xijun and Princess You Jie both married Wusun of the Han Dynasty, and the Ili Valley is where Wusun people live. "History of Han Dynasty, Biography of Western Regions" records that when Princess Xijun got married, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty "gave hundreds of people riding clothes for the official family and gave them gifts". When Princess Xijun arrived in Wusun, she was crowned as the right lady by hunters, and craftsmen built a palace for her. As a nomadic people, Wusun people live on aquatic plants, leaving no architectural ancient city. However, on the north bank of the Tekes River in the upper reaches of the Ili River, an ancient city with China architecture was discovered, which aroused people's infinite exploration. This ancient city, now called Bostam, is located on the north bank of Tekes River, facing south, and the outer walls of the ancient city ruins are well preserved on three sides. Judging from the architectural model of the ancient city, it should belong to the Han Dynasty, probably built by craftsmen who followed Princess Xijun to Wusun. According to historical records, there was an organization called "Xiaoxiang Army" in the Tang Dynasty, which was equivalent to a battalion of the modern army and was stationed in the Tex Valley. Is it the ancient city of Han Dynasty left by the marriage of two princesses of Han Dynasty to Wusun, or the military city of Tang Dynasty? At present, it is impossible to draw a conclusion, but the ancient city of Bosten Lake has been quietly located on the Tex River 1500 years, and there are still many secrets waiting for people to explore and discover.

During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, General Yili, the highest military and political chief in Xinjiang, was established. 1763, Ming Rui, the first Ili general, built Yuancheng by the Ili River. Huiyuan was the largest city in Xinjiang at that time and was once called "Little Beijing". Huiyuan Bell and Drum Tower, built in 1882, is the most well-preserved and important historical relic so far. The whole building is magnificent and shining. It is the only traditional high-rise wooden structure with a long history in Xinjiang.

Lin Zexu once lived in Huiyuan for two years and one month. He recorded the peony garden of Xiyunting's family: "Surrounded by green and white poplars, there are thousands of peony trees of various colors in the garden." Hong is very interested in the pond behind Guandi Temple and often goes to watch and play. He wrote: "There are many fish swimming in the pond, and the frog heard it." With the advocacy and support of General Chang Geng of Yili, Huiyuan City became a window for Xinjiang to absorb modern industrial civilization. The introduction of modern technological discoveries such as electric light, telephone, telegraph, photography and automobile had a great influence on the development and progress of Xinjiang at that time.

Time flies, more than 60 years ago, a classic song "Night on the Grassland" was born on the Kokdala grassland in the lower reaches of the Ili River, and the Ili River once again became famous at home and abroad. This song was praised as "Oriental Serenade" by UNESCO, which also made Kirkdala famous overnight. 20 19 When I traveled abroad for many years and set foot on the Ili River again, a new city, Cocodara City, was born, and the Cocodara Bridge across the Ili River was officially opened to traffic. This is the third bridge on the Ili River. The completion of the bridge has made the exchanges between people of all ethnic groups on both sides of the Ili River smoother and more convenient.

Strolling in Kekedala, this new city had trees before it was built. The greening rate reached 43.8%, and the greening pattern of "pushing the window to see the green and going out into the garden" was built, which was really rare in Xinjiang. The Ili River next to Kokdala flows quietly from east to west, and the green park along the river has long been a good place for people to relax and entertain. Twenty-nine theme parks are scattered in the city, which really makes Kirkdala a city among trees and people among trees.

The Ili River, which flows quietly on the land at the northwest end of the motherland, reflects beauty and hope.
