Brief introduction of wudang boxing.
In the Northern Song Dynasty, there were many lions and tigers and many bandits on Wudang Mountain. Taoist priests often suffer and live in fear. There is a hundred-year-old Taoist named Zhang Sanfeng. He really wants to find a way to deal with powerful beasts and protect the temple in self-defense, so that the Taoist can

Students practice at ease. But after thinking about it for a long time, I didn't come up with any way.

One day, Zhang Sanfeng was sitting in the yard to have a rest. Suddenly he saw two apertures flashing on the osmanthus tree, one white and one flower, twinkling and beautiful. Looking closely, it turned out that the white snake and the magpie were playing. The white snake is wrapped around the tree, with its head sticking out a lot and its eyes shining. Although it is silent, its momentum is like a dragon, which makes people feel that it has incomparable power. The magpie stood on a branch not far away, bent over the snake, trying to break free, but afraid to go; I want to peck with my mouth open, but I dare not peck. I just flapped my beautiful wings, like a phoenix about to fly. Dragon and phoenix play with each other, each showing its own strange posture. They are all wonderful, static and dynamic, soft and rigid, and endless changes. No one can do anything about it. Zhang Sanfeng became more and more fascinated. Suddenly, the white snake and the magpie cried at the same time, "Come on! Come on! " Fly away.

Zhang Sanfeng is very strange. He flew after, after, after, after, but he caught up with the mountain. He saw that the mountain was made of gold, the tree was carved with white jade, the river was full of nectar, and there were golden bulls and golden horses running on the mountain. An old man with white hair is boxing by the river. The white snake magpie flew into his arms and became a splendid dragon and phoenix on his yellow robe. It turns out that he is a real person.

Taiyi's real boxing and playing with dragons and phoenixes are very imaginative. They are as quiet as Mount Tai, as soft as spring willows, but they are soft and firm, and they moisten things silently and ever-changing. The more I look at it, the more I feel that I have kung fu and strength. I can crush mountains and rivers and capture dragons and tigers.

Zhang Sanfeng came forward for advice. It's really a pleasure for Taiyi to tell him that this kind of boxing was originally created by him with reference to Hua Tuo's "Five Birds Play" eight hundred years ago, and it is called "Taiyi five elements boxing in Wudang Mountain", which can defend oneself against all diseases and prolong life. I hope Zhang Sanfeng will study hard and practice hard.

Zhang Sanfeng nodded and immediately began to practice boxing, one set after another, and finally learned it. When I woke up, I had a dream.

Zhang Sanfeng is learning boxing every day because of his dream, and his hand has never left. He kept practicing until he knew it was hot in Leng Xia in winter. Gradually, his frosty beard turned black, wrinkles disappeared and a new bite grew.

Teeth can tame lions and tigers and really rejuvenate them. Wudang Mountain also calmed down.

Later, wudang boxing spread further and further, and more and more people learned, and finally became a major school of Wulin in China. In China Wulin, there has always been a saying that "Shaolin is outside my home and Wudang is in my home". Shaolin and Wudang are two peaks, each with its own merits.

Wudang boxing was created by Zhang Sanfeng, a famous Taoist priest of Wudang Mountain in the Northern Song Dynasty. The boxing method he created is called Tai Chi thirteen-style combination of static and dynamic. During the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Shouxing, the eighth head of Zixiao Palace in Wudang Mountain, merged Zhang Sanfeng's Tai Chi 13-style Qigong Wu Qin Huatuo Opera, which became a unique boxing method handed down from generation to generation by Taoist priests in Wudang Mountain, also known as Neijia Boxing, and spread widely.

Wudang Mountain is located in the northwest of Hubei Province, which is the remnant vein of Daba Mountain. It connects Henan and Shaanxi in the north, controls the Three Gorges in the south, borders Bashu in the west and overlooks Wuhan and Fiona Fang in the east. Its main peak, Tianzhu Peak, is 16 12 meters above sea level, which is higher than Taishan Mountain and Songshan Mountain. Wudang Mountain belongs to Zhou Jun in ancient times and Xiangyang Prefecture, and now belongs to danjiangkou city. Not far to the south of Wudang Mountain is the famous Shennongjia area.

Wudang Mountain is famous for its spectacular peaks and beautiful scenery. It is even more dangerous and strange than Mount Tai. Wudang Mountain, located in a remote place, has always been one of the holy places of Taoism. According to legend, Emperor Zhenwu once practiced here. After a long time, his Tao soared.

Taoist priests in Wudang Mountain have a long tradition of practicing boxing. Huang Zongxi, a beginner in the Qing Dynasty, said that wudang boxing was created by Wudang Taoist Zhang Sanfeng (Zhang Sanfeng's works), which is actually unfounded. According to historical records, Zhang Sanfeng lived in the late Yuan Dynasty.

In the early Ming Dynasty, I practiced Qigong in Wudang Mountain and didn't know boxing. Taoism pays attention to quietness, which is also a way of keeping in good health. Therefore, wudang boxing is characterized by paying equal attention to both martial arts and health preservation, and integrating health preservation into martial arts. Almost all Taoist boxing schools are like this, which is slightly different from Shaolin boxing, a Buddhist boxing school that emphasizes martial arts.

Taoist priests live a quiet life, so the purpose of practicing wudang boxing is self-defense. Unless there is an emergency, it is generally not allowed to start work, but once it is started, it is a combination of hardness and softness, and it is powerful.

At the beginning of Qing Dynasty, wudang boxing was once circulated in Ningbo, and there appeared masters such as Zhang Songxi, Ye Jinquan, Shan Sinan and Wang Zhengnan. Huang Zongxi's son, Huang Baijia, is a disciple of Wang Zhengnan. Wudang boxing's popularity is not wide because Wu Tang Gang is secretive about his own skills, very strict in choosing disciples and never likes to show off. After Huang Baijia, wudang boxing seemed to suddenly disappear. People thought it was lost, but it wasn't.

Around the middle of the Ming Dynasty,

Wudang boxing, wudang boxing is divided into two parts, one part stays in this mountain, and the other part is said to have spread from Zhangsongxi to Sichuan. During the Guangxu period in the late Qing Dynasty, Deng Zhongshan, a descendant of Wudang Mountain Taoist, started a school in Jiangning, Jiangsu (now Nanjing), and wudang boxing spread eastward to Jiangsu. Sichuan and Jiangsu branches have flourished so far. The one who stayed in Wudang Mountain has not been lost, and Wudang Taoist priests still maintain the tradition of practicing martial arts. Wu-tang clan includes Songxi School, Huaihe School, Excalibur School, Yi Song School, Longmen School, Gongjia South School, Xuanwu School and North Taiji School.
