Do you know why Li Shutong became a monk?

19 16 (five years of the Republic of Chen Bing) At the age of 37, Japanese magazines introduced the method of "fasting" to cultivate body and mind, so he came up with the idea of fasting. In winter, I entered the Tiger Run Dinghui Temple in Hangzhou and tried to fast for 17 days. There are detailed records in the fasting log. Before entering the mountain, he wrote a poem saying, "Every flower and leaf is pure. Faint and brilliant. " After returning to school, I began to be a vegetarian. At that time, influenced by Ma Yifu, he "gradually understood" Buddhism.

19 18 (in the seventh year of the Republic of China) At the age of 39, he spent the Spring Festival at the Tiger Run Temple, worshiping the monks at home, and named them. On the 13th day of the seventh lunar month, Hu Ran went to Dinghui Temple to become a monk.
