Fengshan Wang Yao Temple (commonly known as Fengwo Temple) is located in Wangcun, Dasi Town, Xiqing District, Tianjin. Founded in the second year of Yongchun in Tang Dynasty (AD 683), it has a history of 1300 years. It has been rebuilt many times in history, and it was renovated again in 1997. The overall building scale is magnificent and exquisite, pavilions are scattered and orderly, and the layout is coordinated, simple and quiet.
The temple is mainly composed of mountain gate, front hall, middle hall, back hall, east and west back halls, bell tower and drum tower. Covering an area of 1 000 square meters, with a building area of 3000 square meters. It is an ancient architectural complex with unique scale and characteristics in Tianjin. The temple mainly displays the sages, sages and Buddhist icons of China since ancient times, as well as medical sages who have made outstanding contributions to the Chinese nation.
Although Fengshan Wang Yao Temple has experienced many vicissitudes, the sacrificial activities have never stopped. During the temple fair (April 20-28 of the lunar calendar), overseas Chinese from North China and Southeast Asia often come to worship. At present, it is the largest temple-style building complex in Tianjin. It has been transformed into a "Holy Garden of Traditional Chinese Medicine" and developed into a cultural, educational and tourist place that promotes China's traditional medicine culture and integrates knowledge, education and appreciation.
