Interpretation of the Noun of Huang Lao's inaction
In the early Han Dynasty, Huang Lao believed that Huang would always be Lao Zi under the guise of the Yellow Emperor. Huang Lao's thought is actually the political thought of Taoism. Politically, it is emphasized that "if you have no intention to govern the country, you will govern the world as the people want", that is, "governing by doing nothing". At the beginning of the establishment of the Western Han Dynasty, the social situation was a long-term war since the end of the Qin Dynasty, with scattered population, economic depression, soaring prices and social unrest. In order to consolidate the rule, stabilize the social order, resume the development of production and improve people's life, Liu Bang adopted Lu Jia's suggestion, followed Huang Lao's thought of "governing by doing nothing", basically followed centralization of authority of Qin in politics, and implemented the policy of "rest and recuperation" in economy.
