Taishun County, belonging to Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is located at the southernmost tip of Zhejiang Province. The geographical coordinates are119 37'-12015' and 27 17'-27 50' north latitude (center: 27 33' north latitude, east longitude165440'). It is adjacent to Fuding and Zherong in Fujian Province in the southeast, Fuan and Shouning in Fujian Province in the southwest, Jingning in the northwest and Piwencheng in the northeast.
Taishun County was established in Jingtai in the third year of the Ming Dynasty (1452), and Ming Daizong named it Taishun, which means "the people of the country are safe and the people are obedient".
