1. Appearance and color

Due to the weather, Dendrobium candidum with good quality has rough skin and dark color, mostly dark iron blue or dark red. From the appearance, there is no soil at the roots, only fine sand and gravel. The roots spread in palm shape, and the length of fresh strips is different, and the maximum strength is not more than 15cm.

2. Geography and environment

The planting area of Dendrobium candidum is limited, taking Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi as an example. Longhu Mountain is located at east longitude 1 16 and north latitude 28. Under the phenological conditions of large-scale deep mountain rocks, natural weak alkaline water sources and soil rich in trace elements, the stems of Dendrobium candidum produced in the production area are iron red, thick, sweet and sticky.

3. Geomorphological requirements

The best growth place of Dendrobium candidum is on the cloud cliff of Danxia landform. Danxia landform has a unique "red bed", which contains a variety of trace elements and humus, and is a natural pollution-free fertilizer for Dendrobium candidum. Dendrobium thus grown has the reputation of "Yunyan Huxian".

4. Increase demand

The quality of Dendrobium candidum is directly proportional to the temperature difference. The greater the temperature difference, the more distinct the four seasons, and the more effective components accumulated in plants. As a high-altitude mountain peak, Longhu Mountain has long sunshine time, large temperature difference between day and night and abundant precipitation. The Dendrobium candidum produced in this environment has dark skin color, full granules and high organic matter content in plants, and its medicinal value is several times that of Dendrobium candidum produced in ordinary environment.
