Shicheng depicts the countryside as a basic landscape. While consolidating the traditional industries of tobacco, lotus and rice, farmers are encouraged to plant maple trees in spring, rape in winter and Jin Juhua on roads. Shicheng is the mother river of Jiangxi and the birthplace of Ganjiang River in Li Qian. Osmanthus fragrans House was built in the year of Xinhai in Xianfeng, Qing Dynasty (A.D. 185 1), covering an area of about 1500 square meters. In A.D. 1864, the kings headed by the young king of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom were captured in Shicheng and imprisoned in Guihualou, which declared the complete end of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom movement that lasted for 14 years, and Guihualou became the physical witness and historical information carrier of this important history. In 2009, the people's government of Shicheng County renovated the Osmanthus fragrans House and turned it into an exhibition hall integrating the historical materials museum of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, the Shicheng People's Museum and the Hakka Folk Museum.
