The territory is rich in natural resources, with forests, hydropower, minerals and other resources ranking first in Zhejiang Province, with forest land of 210.06 million mu and forest stock of 39.94 million cubic meters, accounting for13 of the province. Bamboo 1.75 million mu has great development potential. There are rivers in the area, and the water resources available for development in the city reach 2.78 million kilowatts. There are a number of national and provincial key scenic spots or nature reserves in this area, with good ecological environment and promising ecotourism. Lishui has obvious advantages in natural resources and ecological environment, and the green food processing industry and Chinese medicine industry have broad prospects for development.
Lishui is rich in water resources and has large reserves of hydropower resources. In order to build Lishui into a green energy base in East China, Lishui will vigorously develop hydropower industry. At the same time, more than 95% of the river monitoring sections in the city meet the first, second and third class surface water standards, which is especially suitable for industrial development with high water quality requirements.
In addition, there are three nature reserves in Lishui: Longquan fengyangshan, Suichang Jiulong Mountain and Qingyuan baishanzu.
