The school, formerly known as Laiyang Chinese Medicine School, was founded in 1958 10, and was renamed Yantai Chinese Medicine School in the same year 12. /kloc-0 changed its name to Yantai Chinese Medicine School in February, 960; /kloc-0 changed its name to Shandong Laiyang Chinese Medicine School in August, 962; 13/972 was renamed Shandong Chinese Medicine School. In May 2004, it was upgraded to Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
