Principle and application demonstration:

1. Muhuo point is similar to Zhongchong point, so it has the function of strengthening the heart and promoting blood circulation, and the treatment of stroke sequelae has a strengthening effect on other needles. It is very effective to treat lower limb weakness after stroke alone, and it can also treat medial knee pain and calf pain.

2. Stroke is closely related to wind (wood) and phlegm (fire). The yin meridians of wood (liver) and fire (heart) all go up to the head, and liver wind and phlegm-fire are the main causes of stroke.

3. Muhuo acupoint is located on the meridian of fire (pericardium meridian) and close to Mu Jing acupoint, hence the name Muhuo acupoint.

4. Muhuo point is very effective in treating hemiplegia and cold limbs.
