According to the Spring City Evening News, on the morning of 15, Panlong Temple on the east bank of Dianchi Lake in Yunnan closed its doors to thank guests. Monks posted notices at the entrance of the temple, saying that because the government of Jinning County and Jincheng Town wanted to commercialize and corporatize Panlong Temple, which disturbed the normal order of Panlong Temple, the temple decided to temporarily close the mountain gate, and tourists could only burn incense at the entrance of Panlong Temple. On the afternoon of 17, the Propaganda Department of Jinning County Committee of Kunming issued a notice saying that after communicating with the temple, the other party clarified the misunderstanding and reopened the temple gate at noon on 17. At the same time, the notice stated that the temple will not be commercialized or corporatized in the future.
The following are some temples that have been commercialized and "played badly" in China:
Shaolin Temple's "Incense Interest Chain"
Shaolin Temple was exposed to a fragrance, the most expensive one was 65,438+10,000 yuan. Burning incense turned into burning money. It must be said that Shaolin Temple has embarked on an increasingly commercial road. Shi Yongxin, abbot of Shaolin Temple, said that under his successful management, Shaolin Temple became the pillar of Dengfeng tourism economy.

Shi Yongxin, the abbot of Shaolin Temple, said in an interview with the media, "Our future rivers and lakes are the world market, and I am very confident about this. The commercialization of Shaolin Temple is a good trend. " The leaders of Dengfeng once described such a picture: "Through the implementation of the Shaolin Kung Fu Renaissance Project, we will make every effort to build a Zen Wushu cultural industrial park supported by martial arts performing arts, kung fu animation and other industries, and implement the construction of key cultural industries such as the international Chinese promotion Shaolin Wushu base, and truly make Dengfeng the world's Kung Fu capital." In a few words, "industry" was mentioned several times.
Tickets: After May 2005, the ticket price of Shaolin Scenic Area rose from 40 to 100, and the share of Shaolin Temple rose from 10 to 30. However, in the west gate of Shaolin Temple, there is a merit box, which can also be used to put 30 yuan in the marching temple. Both 30 yuan, who shared the tickets, and 30 yuan, who paid by himself, are the main sources of income for Shaolin Temple. According to official figures, Shaolin Temple has about 6.5438+0.5 million tourists every year.

Merit money: In addition to tickets, incense money is also an important part of Shaolin Temple's income. It is reported that in 2007, tickets and incense money for Shaolin Temple totaled 50 million. Although high incense has been cancelled and replaced by free incense, some monks still persuade tourists to leave sesame oil money for chanting and praying, each person 100 yuan. As for the support donations from believers, the amount is even more difficult to test.
Entity: In addition to the three companies under Shi Yongxin's name, Shaolin Temple also founded several companies.
Hokeji's "Auction of Naming Rights"
2011July, Beijing jiashikai auction company claimed that it would auction the naming rights of Hangzhou Millennium temple Hokkeji on July 28th. Relevant departments in Hangzhou said on July 14 that the auction had stopped. The incident caused widespread concern among netizens.
Huokeji, located in Fahua Mountain on the north side of Beifeng in Xihu District, Hangzhou, is located on the north and south sides of Lingyin Temple, with a history of about 1 700 years. It was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and is one of the oldest temples in China. It was unfortunately destroyed in the Cultural Revolution. It was rebuilt by Zhejiang Buddhist Association and the former Dongyue Village Committee (now Dongyue Community) on 1999 and completed in 2003. The rebuilt Huokeji covers an area of 100 mu, which is an important place for religious activities in the west of Hangzhou.
But such a thousand-year-old temple may become a famous commercial brand. In June, Beijing Jiashikai International Auction Company announced that it would hold the "China First Temple Naming Right Auction" in Beijing on July 28th. The auction items are very special, and they are two naming rights of the most famous temple Hokkeji in Hangzhou.
For a time, people talked about it one after another: temples are places of practice, and do they need commercial titles? The naming right of this auction is not in the main part of Hockey, but in its Fahua Academy and Fahua Health Center, of which the latter is an enterprise, and the starting price is 500,000 yuan respectively. When the two naming rights are added together, the starting price is 6.5438+0 million yuan.
Famen Temple in Shaanxi: Hidden Real Estate in Mingjian Scenic Area
From Xi, Shaanxi Province to the west120km, in the north of Fufeng County, there is a Famen Temple scenic spot covering an area of1300mu. Famen Temple, which is rumored to be interested in listing, has become a deformed commercial sample under the advocacy of "building a stage with religion and singing opera with economy".
From the entrance of Famen Temple Cultural Scenic Area to Heshibi Pagoda, various booths selling souvenirs such as Kaiguangbao, bracelets and beads can be seen almost everywhere. There are 10 giant buddhas on Yanfoguang Avenue, and the price of each Buddha statue is as high as 10 million, which is just one of various expensive offerings. At the incense burner in front of the folded stupa, the price of a box of incense is as high as 199 yuan, and a lotus wax lamp is also presented. At the same time, there are other projects such as interpreting scriptures, copying scriptures and offering Buddha lanterns.
There is also an organization called "Shaanxi Famen Temple Charity Foundation" in various places. On the merit box in front of each Buddha statue in the scenic spot, the words "Shaanxi Famen Temple Charity Foundation" are written. In front of the folded stupa, the staff of this organization constantly publicized to tourists through the radio: "If you donate 100 yuan, you will carve a merit monument, leave your name on the spot, and there will be a carved treasure for you to let everyone know." The reporter found on the spot that many tourists donated money here, and the staff also engraved the name of the donor on the stone tablet behind them.
Satisfied and looking forward to being adopted
