High and low: high and low impact aerobic exercise.

(1)hi-low refers to the high-low impact aerobics in fitness industry terminology, referred to as high-low aerobic exercise.

(2) The purpose of Hi-Low is to improve health. According to the needs of the practice object, the movements are simple and easy to learn, the rhythm is a little slow, and the length of time varies, which can be arranged in 5 minutes to 1 hour.

(3) For example, the primary aerobics compiled by jane fonda, a famous American aerobics star, has a set of 27 minutes. In Japan, the general duration of aerobics is around 1 hour. Aerobics is widely carried out, and there is no uniform standard for the practice time, venue, number, content, action name and rhythm of each set of aerobics movements, which can be arranged according to the needs of practitioners.

According to some characteristics, aerobics can be divided into the following categories:

(1) According to the main purpose and task of exercise, it can be divided into mass aerobics and competitive aerobics;

(2) According to the form of exercise, it can be divided into unarmed aerobics, light equipment aerobics and special bodybuilding equipment aerobics;

(3) According to the gender characteristics of practitioners, it can be divided into women's aerobics and men's aerobics;

(4) According to the characteristics of practitioners of different ages, it can be divided into infant aerobics, children aerobics, teenagers aerobics, teenagers aerobics, middle-aged aerobics and elderly aerobics;

(5) According to the anatomical characteristics of human body, it can be divided into neck aerobics, shoulder aerobics, arm aerobics, chest aerobics, waist and abdomen aerobics, hip aerobics, leg aerobics and foot aerobics.

(6) According to the characteristics of movements, it can be divided into body-building exercises, body-building exercises, running exercises and cushion exercises.

(7) High-impact aerobics often jumps on one foot or both feet, which consumes a lot of energy. So it has a miraculous effect on cardiopulmonary exercise. However, for some people who seldom exercise and are overweight, and those who are in the initial stage, it may be unacceptable because of too much exercise and too much stimulation to the heart and lungs. In addition, excessive jumping makes the lower limbs collide with the ground, which is easy to cause damage to the joints and spine of the lower limbs.

(8) Low-impact rhythmic aerobics movements with feet off the ground at different times, such as low kicking, striding, left-right rotation, sprinting, etc. Even if there are steps, jumps and kicks, it will not exceed 4 times in a row. Since the activity of lower limb muscles decreases, it is necessary to increase the arrangement of upper limb activities and even strengthen the activity of trunk muscles to make up for the lack of exercise.

(9) Low-impact aerobics has replaced high-impact aerobics, because it can reduce the chances of athletes being injured. Although the low-impact exercise is mild, because of continuous exercise 15 to 30 minutes, the intensity of exercise (60%-80% of the maximum heart rate) can be maintained, and enough stimulation can be provided to exercise the heart and lungs.
