Nanyang, formerly known as Wan, is a city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province, located in the southwest of Henan Province, at the junction of Henan, Hubei and Shaanxi provinces. It is named because it is located in Funiu Shan Zhinan, north of Hanshui River. The city now governs 2 administrative districts, 4 development zones, 10 counties and 1 county-level cities. With a total area of 26,600 square kilometers, it is the largest and most populous provincial city in Henan Province.
