How to achieve the real unity of knowledge and action?

The first point: learn to let go of your own selfish desires.

Wang Yangming clearly stated in his book that there should be no selfish desires in doing anything.

Suppose you are going to give a speech tomorrow, you will be very nervous. You may consider clothes, audience comments and whether there will be applause. Thinking about these selfish desires will naturally make it impossible to integrate knowledge and practice, and you will become more and more nervous.

Therefore, let go of your own selfish desires and have your own beliefs.

As long as you firmly believe that what you say is useful, correct values, and better help others solve problems, your mind will stare at these things, and your wisdom of knowing and doing will naturally be born.

Think about other things during the live broadcast. Will others give you money? These are all selfish desires and distractions. We should abandon selfish desires, distracting thoughts and inner selfish desires and do what we recognize and value.
