China Chinatown

At the eastern end of Calgary, there is a small town of China with about 2,000 residents. Immigrants from China came to Calgary to participate in railway construction in 1880, and then stayed here to set up imported food markets, restaurants and import shops. White people in China were infected with smallpox, so local officials forced China to narrow the streets and set up obvious signs. On June 22nd, 2005, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of sister city between Guangzhou and Vancouver, and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of sister city between Guangdong and British Columbia 10, Guangzhou donated a new Chinese Gate to China City on the original site of the Chinese Gate on Pengdedong Street. The new Zhonghua Gate has become not only the representative of China city, but also the symbol of the friendship between the people of Guangzhou and Vancouver.

The Chinese Canadian Monument in the shape of "Zhong" is located at the intersection of Kiefer Street and Columbia Street. The monument is engraved with the characters "Jiahua Peak shines on the sun and the moon", and bronze statues of China railway workers and Canadian China soldiers in World War II are cast on both sides of the monument. The historical monument of China is the Western Han Bell in Guangzhou Lane. The imitation Western Han Bell weighing about 1 ton was presented to Vancouver by Guangzhou on the 5th anniversary of its friendship with Vancouver/kloc-0.

The century-old mural on Xipengde Street is14m long and 7m wide, which is another major tourist attraction in China. The murals depict many historical figures such as Sun Yat-sen, which is a historical portrayal of the struggle and integration of Canadian Chinese in Canada from 1858 to 100.

Sanji Mansion is one of the most legendary buildings in China. The original building with a width of 9. 1 m was widened in 19 12, leaving only1.83m.. After that, its owner often rebuilt the building with toys, which was full of various offices and shops. The public bathroom built in the basement was the only hot water bathroom in China, and the Senji Building was even the narrowest building in the world.

Dr. Sun Yat-sen's classical garden in China, located in Jiale Street, is the first classical garden in Ming Dynasty outside China. Zhongshan Park was designed and built by more than 50 landscape architects in China. Most of the materials used were transported from China and completed in 1986 in two years. In Zhongshan Park, you can enjoy the traditional garden landscape, pavilions and bridges. In the park, there will be art exhibitions of antiques and jewels in summer and various music performances on Friday night. Whenever China people celebrate, such as Mid-Autumn Festival and Spring Festival, there will be a grand celebration in the park.

Admission: Zhongshan Park is about 8 Canadian dollars for adults and half price for children.

Opening hours: Zhongshan Park is open at 10: 00- 16: 30, May1-June 14, and closed on Mondays.

One of the ancient buildings in the center of Moscow, the Russian capital. Located in the north of Red Square.
