PVC is more slippery. My IKU fitness mat is made of high density PVC. It is the only one that can wear shoes on the mat. Bobby jumps/aerobics shoes jump, the mat does not move, and the pieces will not fall off after exercise. Of course, it's worth it. This high price corresponds to high quality, but it is highly recommended.
