Reflections on "Community Development in Wei Teachers College"

introduce

Societies and associations are non-profit informal organizations with the aim of "enriching people's spare time life and cultivating people's comprehensive quality", which are initiated and formed by some people with the same hobbies and interests. It does not exist for profit like an enterprise, nor does it exist for governing the country and ensuring security like a government. It has its own characteristics-entertainment and learning.

As far as China's university campuses are concerned, most of them are more or less active in some societies and associations. They are like seasonings of delicious food, which make our college life colorful and interesting. Of course, Weinan Teachers College is also active in a number of outstanding clubs such as "English Starry Sky", "Taekwondo" and "Love Aid Action". With the help of leaders and instructors at all levels in the college, it has worked hard for many years and now has a certain scale and influence. Of course, they also have some problems more or less, which is also the focus of my discussion-"the development of Weinan Normal University".

There are problems in the community.

I have participated in five clubs, such as English Star, Taekwondo and Heart Aid Action, since my freshman year, and now I am the vice president of Weinan Normal University Oral English League. Of course, I don't say this to show off or show off myself. I just feel that I still have some experience and accumulation in community work, and I hope to share my views with you. As for the problems existing in the community, I mainly discuss them from the internal and external aspects of the community.

(1) From the perspective of the community itself, I think there are three major problems in the community of our hospital.

1. Community activities are not specific and there is no "brand activity" of their own. Why do you say that? As far as I know, some community leaders in our hospital are blind when carrying out community activities. They have no bottom in their hearts and can't be "confident". They just take it step by step and have no plan of their own. Today, I saw other societies enliven, and I also held an activity temporarily to put on a show and go through the formalities. There are also some club leaders who are too perfectionist and always want to train their members to be versatile and versatile. Of course, it is good to have this idea. The question is how to achieve it. If you blindly carry out various forms of activities, only pursue quantitative activities without a center, it will inevitably lead to nothing, and finally you don't even know what you are doing. ...

2. The number of community activities is small, the quality is poor, and there is a lack of innovation. According to my investigation, quite a few students and teachers in our college don't know how many clubs there are in our college, and they rarely see some large-scale high-quality activities organized by clubs. There are activities, that is, some traditional activities, lack of innovation, always singing, watching videos, speech contests and so on. ...

3. The management of the association is lax and the accounts are unclear. As far as I know, some associations in our college have not officially held a general meeting since the New Party. The presidents and ministers of the associations are not very concerned about the problems of the associations. When something goes wrong, few people come out to negotiate. They just put on a name and don't do anything. There are also some societies whose financial situation is not open and transparent. Members have not heard the club leaders mention the membership fee. Presidents and ministers buy whatever they want, without any receipts and never keep accounts.

(2) As far as the external environment of the community is concerned, there are two main problems.

1. Freshmen's doubts about clubs. According to the survey, a considerable number of freshmen in our college said that they had just heard of students who were seniors and juniors when they came to college. The senior said that most clubs in our school are deceptive, only collecting money and rarely carrying out activities. There are only so-and-so societies, and there are only two or three such societies.

2. The community can't get the understanding and support of hospitals, departments and functional departments. It's been a week since the official examination and approval form of the hospital came down every time the club launched its activities. Moreover, the multimedia classrooms and multi-functional classrooms of the college are rarely open to the community. Also, every "club meeting" is very tense. Every time the Youth League Committee of the College and the Community Department of the College Student Union make some rules and regulations, the community can't reach them.

Analyze community problems

I don't think the association is as formal as the enterprise or the government, but it is an organization after all and needs to be managed. When its scale develops to a certain extent and it wants to develop further, scientific and reasonable management is essential. The following are the main factors that I think affect the development of associations in our hospital:

(1) The founder or leader of a community made an extremist mistake. Either "left leaning" or "right leaning". The so-called "left deviation" means that the leaders of the community are too perfect in constructing their own activity plans, which eventually leads to activities deviating from the purpose of the community and achieving nothing. The so-called right deviation means that the leaders of mass organizations have no plans in their minds before carrying out activities, and always follow their own ideas, leaving them at a loss. Leaders with these two ideas not only failed to realize their original wishes, but also delayed the development of their members.

(2) The Association has prejudice and deficiency in the appointment and training of talents. When selecting members (members refer to people who organize club activities together with the club leaders), some club leaders attach too much importance to members' oral expression ability and mistakenly think that as long as they can speak eloquently, they will certainly do well. But a lot of facts prove that this is not the case. On the contrary, those who are not too ostentatious can always play an important role at critical moments and show extraordinary talents in their future study and work. There is also the fact that middle-level cadres of various associations can't completely delegate their power to the following people when organizing activities at ordinary times. I have always thought that this activity is very important. If you want to organize it yourself, it will certainly give the new members a sense of dictatorship. Committee members feel like a machine dominated by leaders and have no ideas of their own.

(3) The ideological understanding of community leaders is not in place. They rely too much on soft things when managing the club. For example, community culture, personal charm of leaders, relationships, face and so on. Of course, I'm not against this phenomenon, I just think it's a bit excessive. "State-owned laws, society has social rules." To govern a society well, we should not only rely on soft things, but more importantly, rely on hard rules and regulations. Especially after the expansion of the community, more systematic and scientific systems and regulations become extremely important.

(D) The College Youth League Committee lacks certain rationality in the management of community. First of all, the Youth League Committee of our college still attaches great importance to the community work of our college, which is still worthy of recognition. As far as I know, since last year, the Youth League Committee of our college has officially standardized the associations. They issued several documents to guide and standardize the registration, publicity and recruitment of new clubs. Especially this year, the Youth League Committee of the College has made great efforts to assign the chairman of the College Student Union to focus on the work of the community and organize the leaders of various communities to hold "community meetings" on a regular basis, which is worthy of recognition. But maybe it's because the superiors don't know enough about the community. In short, the effect is very obvious from time to time.

(5) The college pays insufficient attention to the associations. According to the survey, many functional departments in our hospital don't know much about associations, and some can't even tell how many associations there are in our hospital, let alone understand and support them. I think it may be because of the heavy workload of our leaders. In short, I think they should find opportunities to communicate with the leaders of the Youth League Committee, the Student Union and various societies, so as to achieve the purpose of understanding the societies.

Community development solutions

Because I have been engaged in community work for two years, I have been thinking about how to make our community bigger and better. If there is an opportunity, we can also let our community participate in some provincial and national competitions. However, I deeply realize that if a society wants to survive and develop, it must organize everyone to engage in activities. There is no doubt about it. But the problem is how to produce high-quality activities, which is the key. To this end, I hereby offer the following community development plans:

(1) First of all, we must understand why we should carry out activities. The common purpose of campus associations is to "enliven campus atmosphere, enrich university life and cultivate college students' comprehensive quality". "As the heads of various societies, we must be aware of this when carrying out activities. In this way, the general direction of community development is right.

(2) Secondly, we should understand who we are carrying out activities for. A * * * similarity of campus associations is "service members". Understand that our "main consumers" are members, and then extend to the students in the whole hospital. Every time we carry out activities, we should consider the problem from the standpoint of members and even the whole school students, so that we can have a clear goal.

Thirdly, we need to know what kind of activities the club will hold. One of the purposes of our campus community is to cultivate college students with comprehensive quality, but we must clearly realize that only "proficiency" can achieve "communication". In other words, when carrying out activities, associations should have their own "brand activities" and have distinctive pillar forces. Of course, we can also carry out some other forms of activities appropriately, but we must prioritize and grasp our own characteristics. In this way, all associations can be in an invincible position among their peers. In addition to transferability, our community should also pay attention to the quality of activities when carrying out activities, and don't blindly pursue quantity and ignore quality.

(4) Finally, we should study how to do a good job in community activities. I mainly discuss it from four aspects: the development path of the association, the management of the association itself, the cultivation and promotion of talents of the association and the macro-management of the college.

1. Housing exhibitions should be conducted in a "point-to-point" manner. We have expanded our community since childhood, from all departments to the whole hospital and even to other schools. In the process of development, we should also pay more attention to joint activities with other fraternal associations, which is conducive to our unity and common development.

2. The association should pay attention to self-management, combine hard system with soft culture, and improve and expand its own organizational management machine. Especially the finance department and the external relations department, which are our blood supply departments, must be well managed to ensure timely and sufficient fresh blood injection in our community. In addition, we should also pay attention to the implementation of a transparent policy on the financial situation of the finance department, and regularly announce the current financial situation of the club to members. Only in this way can we gain the support and trust of our members.

3. Associations should pay attention to the combination of "professionalism" and "diversity" when cultivating and promoting talents. The so-called "professionalization" means that leaders should pay attention to the cultivation of talents in a certain aspect of the community, so that their professional ability can be greatly improved. The so-called "diversification" means that when cultivating and promoting talents, we should pay special attention to attracting talents from different fields and achieve all kinds of talent resources. This will not only play the role of professionals, but also reflect the team spirit, so that our club will certainly be able to operate well.

Concluding remarks

As an indispensable part of the university campus, the development of mass organizations should be concerned by people from all walks of life in the school. I hope the college can give strong support to the cause and development of the association. I overlooked one thing when I discussed community management above. The development of society is influenced by various factors, which interact and cross each other. Therefore, our leaders should also pay attention to various means and methods adopted in the operation of associations. We must consider it together, in order to really make the community in our hospital develop and grow. (This is a community paper I wrote) You can refer to it.
