In the late 1960s, hip-hop appeared in new york on the east coast of the United States and California on the west coast. It was a dance for the poor in black cities in the United States.
In 1970s, it was classified as a part of hip-hop culture, and together with underground black culture such as graffiti or writing, DJ and MC, it was called the four elements of hip-hop.
Funk music appeared in California, which injected new vitality into the dance on the west coast and gave birth to two new dances. One is the lock, which was invented by Don, a young black man in Los Angeles.
The other was created by SamSolomon, a talented teenager in Fresno, California. He combined the previous Bugaro dance with funk music, created a series of dance movements and formed a new dance style, and borrowed the name of Bugaro dance, which he later renamed as Bugaro Sam.
