Zibo Gymnasium is located in the middle section of Taiping Road, Zhangdian District, covering an area of 19.8 mu, with a total construction area of 9,800 square meters. It is a comprehensive public welfare facility integrating fitness, entertainment and leisure. It is equipped with 777 square meters of competition venue, 3 15 square meters of martial arts gymnastics training room, 300 square meters of table tennis training room and 600 square meters of gym, as well as athletes' lounge, reception room and dressing room for domestic and foreign guests, which can accommodate 3,000 spectators with a total investment of 3.66 million yuan. It can not only be used for training and competitions in indoor sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, gymnastics, martial arts, weightlifting and fencing, but also be used for cultural performances, film screenings, acrobatic performances and gatherings. Attached tennis court/KLOC-0 was completed at the end of 1999, ranking first in the province, and can receive regular tennis matches. Four high-standard plastic courses are also first-class in the province. In 2002, more than 3 million yuan was invested to repair and transform the facilities and equipment of the gymnasium, and central air conditioning was installed. The gymnasium has more complete functions and a new look.
Since its establishment, Zibo Gymnasium has actively undertaken or held sports competitions, cultural performances and organized fitness activities with the aim of competitive sports, mass sports and national fitness service, which has played a role. In addition to providing training facilities and services for basketball, tennis, boxing and other projects in the city all the year round, it also holds or undertakes more than 30 large-scale cultural performances, various sports competitions, exhibitions and other large and medium-sized activities every year. In addition to hosting national competitions such as basketball, table tennis, martial arts, bodybuilding, weightlifting, boxing and chess, it has also hosted large-scale events such as the China Women's Volleyball Medieval Invitational Tournament, the "Starlight Cup" national TV literature and art awards evening, and the opening ceremony of the China International Children's Film Festival in Zibo. At the same time, training courses such as basketball, tennis, table tennis, martial arts, roller skating, bodybuilding and dancing have been held, which are open to the public all year round and receive more than 200,000 people for entertainment and fitness every year.
