Huainan Olympic Park is designed by Professor Mei, a famous sports architecture expert in China. Including 40,000 stadiums, 6,000 gymnasiums, 3,000 swimming and diving halls, national fitness centers, five-star Olympic hotels, various outdoor sports and fitness venues, leisure squares, waterfront parks and commercial facilities. It covers an area of about 56 hectares, with a total construction area of about 260,000 square meters and a total investment of about 654.38+0.8 billion yuan. The highest building height is designed as follows. It can not only meet the requirements of holding domestic comprehensive sports games and international individual sports competitions, but also meet the requirements of large-scale cultural performances, assemblies, celebrations, exhibitions, leisure, mass fitness, commercial services, catering, tourism and other activities. It is a modern, ecological and humanized comprehensive municipal large-scale core public space, which plays an important role in changing the urban environment, improving urban functions and promoting urban modernization.

The project is completed in three stages. The main stadium built in the first phase has 40,868 seats, with a total construction area of 102746 square meters. There are five floors above the ground and a local underground floor, with a total height of 63 meters. According to the requirements of its location, nature of use, service object and management mode, the design is carried out according to the standards of large-scale first-class stadiums in China, and the functional rooms and ancillary facilities are arranged in combination with the local climate characteristics and actual use requirements of Huainan City. Its spatial connotation covers the functional rooms for sports competitions, rooms for VIPs and officials, rooms for media, apartments for athletes, supermarkets, restaurants, conferences, fitness clubs and other permanent business service rooms, which lays the foundation for the industrialized operation and sustainable development of venues. The main stadium is located in the most eye-catching position on the west side of the sports center. The red roof material and the rugby-shaped roof curve make the stadium magnificent and iconic, and become the visual center of the Olympic Park complex.

The entire Olympic Park is expected to be completed in five years. After completion, it will become the "finishing touch" of the southern part of Shannan New District, which is full of green, beautiful scenery, prosperity and harmony. While benefiting the people and promoting the development of sports culture and sports industry in Huainan, it will also promote the rapid development of the whole southern city and contribute to the construction of modern, ecological and harmonious Huainan.
