Legal basis: People's Republic of China (PRC) Military Service Law.
Article 10 Citizens who should perform military service according to law may apply for military service if they meet the following conditions after preliminary examination:
(a) support the constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC), the leadership of the party and the socialist system;
(two) love the people's army, law-abiding, with good political quality and moral conduct;
(three) the age of collection as prescribed by law;
(4) Having the physical condition, psychological quality and cultural level to perform military duties and responsibilities;
(5) Other conditions prescribed by law.
Eighteenth education, public security, health and other departments shall, in accordance with the division of responsibilities, conduct a preliminary examination of the ideological and political, health status and educational level of the citizens to be recruited.
According to the notice of the People's Armed Forces Department of townships, nationality townships, towns and sub-district offices (hereinafter referred to as the grass-roots People's Armed Forces Department) or the recruitment workstation of ordinary colleges and universities, the qualified personnel in the preliminary examination shall go to the designated medical institutions to participate in the preliminary examination themselves within the prescribed time limit. The initial examination mainly examines the obvious unqualified problems such as height, weight, vision, tattoos and scars on exposed parts. The initial inspection is not limited by household registration and registration place, and the results of the initial inspection are mutually recognized throughout the country.
