Does the doctor do it himself?
The most important thing to choose an American IVF doctor is whether the doctor does it himself. IVF technology is not as assembly-line as general surgery, and it is a very delicate work.
Excellent embryo laboratory
In IVF, eggs are taken out, combined with sperm, cultured into blastocysts and biopsied for PGS, which is not done by doctors, but by embryologists. Good embryologists are also rare.
Success rate data
Although the CDC emphasizes that the success rate data can't be used to rank clinics and can't be used as the basis for choosing clinics, most intermediaries still regard high success rate as the biggest selling point of recommending clinics.
