What should I do if the sweater shrinks?
The fibers of the shrunk sweater are heated with a steam iron, and then stretched with both hands while it is hot. You can spread a white cloth on it, spray it with water and iron it at medium temperature. The water temperature should be around 35 degrees. When washing, gently squeeze it with your hands.

What if the sweater shrinks?

Cardboard:

Cut it into the size and shape of the original sweater with thick cardboard, and it is best to polish the incision with sandpaper to avoid hooking the sweater. Put the sweater on the cardboard, fix the lower part with several hangers, then steam iron the sweater repeatedly at various parts with an electric iron, and take it off after it is completely cooled.

Steam ironing:

The fibers of the shrunk sweater are heated with a steam iron, and then stretched with both hands while it is hot. You can put a white cloth on it, spray it with water and iron it at a moderate temperature. The water temperature is preferably around 35 degrees. When washing, gently squeeze it with your hands. Never rub it with your hands. Never wash cattle with a washing machine. Be sure to use neutral detergent. When in use, the ratio of water to detergent is generally 100: 3. When rinsing, slowly add cold water, so that the water temperature gradually drops to room temperature, and then rinse clean. After washing, press the water by hand first, then wrap it in a dry cloth and press it. You can also use a centrifugal dehydrator. Pay attention to wrap the sweater with cloth before putting it into the dehydrator; You can't dehydrate for too long, you can only dehydrate for 2 minutes at most. After washing and dehydration, the sweater should be spread out in a ventilated place to dry, and it should not be hung or exposed to the sun to avoid deformation of the sweater.

Send it to the dry cleaner:

As long as you take the clothes to the dry cleaner, dry clean them first, then find a special shelf of the same model as the clothes, hang the sweater, and after high-temperature steam treatment, the clothes can be restored to their original appearance, and the price is the same as that of dry cleaning.

Precautions:

1, after buying a sweater, pay attention to the label inside the clothes, and don't use water washing on sweaters that need dry cleaning.

2. Pay attention to wrap the sweater with cloth or towel before putting it into the dehydrator; You can't dehydrate for too long, you can only dehydrate for 2 minutes at most.

Sweaters shrink and recover easily.

In the process of wearing and washing sweaters, wool fibers move from the top to the root in the direction of scales because of the impact of mechanical force and water. When the external force is removed, the wool fibers will stay in the new position because the scales of adjacent wool fibers are staggered and locked. When the wool fiber is subjected to external force again, it will move again. After repeated rotation, extrusion, kneading and beating, the roots of wool fibers are intertwined, making the sweater compact and thick, so that the excellent elasticity of the whole shrinkage wool fiber helps the wool fiber to wrap around the roots and expose the tip freely through directional friction, which is the reason why the wool fiber itself has shrinkage and the sweater shrinks. Now I will teach you how to repair the shrunk sweater.

1. First, we need to make an ironing board. The materials used are cardboard and sweaters that have not shrunk.

2. Then spread the sweater without shrinkage on the cardboard, and mark the key position on the cardboard with a pencil.

3. Connect the marks with a ruler, cut off the edges of the cardboard with scissors, and stick it with tape to avoid scratching the sweater.

4. Cut the ironing board on the sleeve in the same way as above.

5. After the ironing board is finished, put it into the shrunk sweater. Let's start ironing, and the sweater should be made in a wet state.

6. While ironing, pulling is the most important step. Moderate force is enough.

7. The whole ironing process should be completed with a steam iron, and an iron that can touch steam at home is enough.

8. After ironing, you're done.

Precautions:

1. When drying clothes, lay them flat until they are 80% dry, then wrap your sleeves in a net bag and hang them on a bamboo pole to dry.

2. Avoid exposure to strong sunlight, otherwise it will destroy the molecular structure of wool.

3. The sweater is stretched and deformed after washing, and it can be restored to its original state by spraying it with an iron.

How to clean the sweater?

Turn the sweater upside down and wash it, just don't wash it on the front, which can reduce friction and prevent clothes from pilling. Usually, you can turn all the clothes upside down and wash them again, which can prevent pilling (as some fabrics do) and keep them new.

1, dry the sweater, wet the stained place, then wash it with a little silk or clean the collar, and wipe it first. The neckline and cuffs can be the same, and the treated places will be cleaned.

2. Wash and pour the silk cotton into the basin according to the washing instructions, and put warm water. As long as your hands don't feel cold, don't use hot water. Washing this sweater with hot water will shrink.

3. Put the dyed sweater into the basin and soak it for about 10 minute.

4. When washing the sweater, pay attention to gently rubbing it, and don't use force.

5, a little twist, not hard. If you use a washbasin in the bathroom at home, you can put the sweater in it and press it hard to let the water flow away from below.

6. Change the water and wash it for 2~3 times.

7. Put the washed sweater in the laundry bag to dry.

8. Finally, hang a sweater. Find a clean bath towel and lay it flat on the sofa, bed and other flat places. The sun can't shine directly. Then put the dried sweater flat on it and arrange it according to its original shape. Now that there is heating at home, it can be done in one day. This can basically omit the ironing step.

Precautions:

1, the water temperature is preferably around 35 degrees. When washing clothes, squeeze gently with your hands. It is forbidden to rub, knead or rub cattle with your hands.

2. When rinsing, slowly add cold water, so that the water temperature gradually drops to room temperature, and then rinse clean.

3. After washing, squeeze out the water by hand, and then wrap it in a dry cloth and press it. You can also use a centrifugal dehydrator. Pay attention to wrap the sweater with cloth before putting it into the dehydrator; You can't dehydrate for too long, you can only dehydrate for 2 minutes at most.

4. After washing and dehydration, the woolen sweater should be spread out in a ventilated place to dry. Don't hang or expose to the sun, so as not to deform the sweater.
