What do you mean by staggered ribs?
Staggered rib is a medical concept, which refers to the dislocation between ribs in the body, which appears between the rib head and the rib wing. Usually, ribs may or may not have symptoms, depending on their degree and location. In some cases, staggered ribs may cause severe pain and discomfort, which requires diagnosis and treatment.

The reason of staggered ribs may be abnormal growth and development of ribs, accompanied by congenital bone problems, or related to trauma or other injuries caused by excessive load or strength. Other possible causes of rib dislocation include osteomyelitis or tumor.

The treatment of rib dislocation depends on its severity and symptoms. Sometimes, a completely dislocated rib may need hospitalization. Treatment methods include painkillers or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, physical therapy, massage and acupoint mortgage to relieve pain and discomfort. Severe cases may require surgery, including temporary implantation of bone hooks to locate ribs or rib resection.
