Relying on the unique advantages of regional resources in Jincheng, through the continuous development in recent years, Jincheng Development Zone has gradually formed an industrial structure dominated by photoelectricity, precision casting, silk and linen clothing, biomedicine and new materials. In the next few years, the development zone will also rely on the geographical advantages of Tianjin Port and Lianyungang to vigorously develop foreign trade import and export business.
Jincheng is rich in mineral resources, including dozens of mineral resources such as coal, coalbed methane, manganese iron ore, bauxite, copper, zinc, gold, silver, marble and crystal stone. In particular, the reserves of coal and iron are very considerable, and it has the reputation of "the hometown of coal and iron". Sericulture and silk industry also have a long history. It is the famous hometown of sericulture and silk in northern China, and its silk output accounts for 80% of Shanxi Province. It is currently the largest sericulture and silk base in northern China.
