How to Clean System Disk (C Disk) under XP System
Step 1: Clean up temporary files. Click start-all programs-accessories-system tools-disk cleaning in the lower left corner, select disk C and confirm, check all options, click OK, confirm to delete temporary files, and wait for the end. Step 2: Clean up the videos and pictures. Open my document on the desktop. This is the default folder for saving videos, pictures and music. Select the file to delete, right-click and select Delete. Step 3: Clean up the system restore point. Click Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disk Cleanup in the lower left corner, select Disk C to confirm, select other options, select Cleanup under System Restore, and select Yes and OK in the pop-up options. Note: Clearing the system restore point will save the latest restore point of the system. If the system is currently in normal use, there will be no serious consequences. Step 4: Clean up the program of drive C Click Start-Control Panel-Add or Remove Programs in the lower left corner, select the program to be deleted, select change or delete the program, select Yes to continue, and finally click Finish. If re-installing, it is recommended to install the program to a partition other than the C drive. Step 5: Right-click the computer to modify the virtual memory, select Properties, select Settings on the right side of the Performance tab of the Performance Options Advanced tab, select the Advanced tab, and click Change. In the pop-up interface, after selecting drive C, select the following unpaged files, click OK, and then select other disks, and select the user-defined size or the size managed by the system.
