People who are always uncomfortable in their hearts often feel uncomfortable in their left arm, shoulders and back, and even have symptoms of underarm pain and soreness. After pressing the pain point, the symptoms of heart discomfort will be alleviated. This phenomenon is related to the point under the armpit, which is the "heart-strengthening point" of the human body-Jiquan point.

Jiquan point is good at treating "heart disease"

"In the extreme spring, between the axillary muscles, the arteries enter the chest, and the hands are less yin and pulse." -The classics of acupuncture.

Jiquan point is located in the center of armpit, where the axillary artery beats (the point where the artery beats under the finger is Jiquan point). The "pole" in the cave name means the highest point, and "spring" means the water source. Jiquan point, as the first point of heart meridian of hand-shaoyin, is the source of qi in heart meridian, which is closely related to the smoothness of qi and blood in heart meridian, so it can treat heart diseases such as heartache, palpitation, chest tightness, shortness of breath and hypochondriac pain.

According to acupuncture Dacheng, Jiquan point can cure "cold arms and elbows, inability to close limbs, heartache and retching, yellow eyes due to thirst, hypochondriac pain and sadness", which basically summarizes the main functions of Jiquan point.

Jiquan point is commonly used in clinic to treat cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, angina pectoris and sequelae of cerebrovascular disease. At the same time, Jiquan point can often play its role of near treatment, and can treat intercostal neuralgia, scapulohumeral periarthritis and other diseases near the armpit.

It is advisable to have a limp and numb feeling when plucking hair from the extreme spring point.

For patients with heart disease or people who usually have symptoms of heart discomfort, you can press the point of Jiquan every day or every other day for 3-5 minutes each time to prevent angina pectoris, chest discomfort and palpitation.

From the point of view of modern medicine, there are not only arteriovenous vessels under the armpit, but also a large number of nerves and lymphoid tissues. Therefore, it is normal to press the armpit extreme spring point and feel numb when touching the nerve. Axillary lymphoid tissue has the functions of blood transmission and immune defense. Pressing here can improve heart and lung function and relieve immediate symptoms such as palpitation, chest tightness, shortness of breath and dyspnea by enhancing blood flow and stimulating lymphatic reflux.

Chinese medicine believes that a strong sense of numbness is the expression of qi. "Acupuncture is essential and qi circulation is effective". The essence of acupuncture points is to stimulate the qi of meridians, regulate yin and yang, tonify deficiency and diarrhea, so as to achieve the purpose of treating diseases. When patients are angry, they show conscious reactions such as acid, bloating, numbness and heaviness.

Massage method: take a positive sitting posture, raise your left arm, bend your elbow, palm up, palm pointing to your head; Press the middle depression of the left armpit with the fingertip of the middle finger of the right hand, feeling particularly sore and kneading for 2~3 minutes; Then press the right acupoint in the same way; Press 1 time every morning and evening.

Plucking method: Raise your arm, touch the left polar spring point with your right index finger, and use a little force. When you feel sour, you poke it sideways. Generally speaking, you will feel numb in your arms until your fingers. You can dial it more than ten times in a row, and then slowly hit your wrist with your empty fist along the center line of your arm. Similarly, dial the acupoint on the right. This method can not only relieve chest tightness and palpitation, make breathing smooth, but also resolve the stagnation in the heart.

Acupuncture at Jiquan point can treat stroke.

Clinically, Jiquan point can not only strengthen the heart, but also be widely used in the treatment of stroke hemiplegia. Jiquan point has the functions of refreshing the brain, inducing resuscitation, dredging meridians and activating the qi of meridians. Through acupuncture, qi can reach the affected part, which is beneficial to restore the normal motor function of hemiplegic limbs and improve limb spasm or relaxation. There are axillary nerve, ulnar nerve, median nerve and cutaneous nerve under Jiquan point. Acupuncture can cause nerve excitement and stimulate the recovery of motor function.

The routine acupuncture method of Jiquan point should avoid axillary artery and stab directly for 0.5~ 1 inch. Professor Shi Xuemin, a master of traditional Chinese medicine, also selected Jiquan point in the acupuncture method of "Awakening the Brain and Enlightening the Mind" to guide qi and dredge collaterals with qi, so as to relieve limb spasm after stroke.

The curative effect of acupuncture is influenced by many factors, such as the method of needle insertion, the technique of needle movement and the depth of acupuncture. Moreover, Jiquan acupoint is located at the pulse of axillary artery, and improper operation will lead to bleeding, so it is necessary to go to a regular medical institution for acupuncture treatment by a professional acupuncturist. The health care of ordinary people at Jiquan point is prohibited from self-acupuncture, only massage or moxibustion, or more exercise of shoulder joints and upper limbs, which can also dredge menstruation and improve blood circulation.
