What benefits can swimming teaching cultivate students?
1.

In order to make students learn more happily, I sometimes organize breath-holding competitions and floating competitions in water. By combining practice with competition, students will learn more actively.

Encourage students to practice after class with their parents.

In the swimming class once a week, except for changing clothes, doing exercises and the steps assigned by the teacher, the time for students to practice in the water is generally only 15 to 20 minutes, and the content of this class will be unfamiliar after one week, so they need to review. So I think swimming class should also emphasize students' usual practice, so that students will make faster progress. Of course, students are told to practice in the swimming pool accompanied by their parents. Through after-class exercises, students often have a strong psychology to show their skills in the next swimming class. Therefore, teachers should keep abreast of students' progress and give them appropriate praise to stimulate their swimming enthusiasm. 3.

The first water lesson is to test the students' level first. On the one hand, it is to let teachers know the actual level of students, so as to help students carry out targeted exercises. On the other hand, let students have a general understanding of their current level, and then know which goal they should work towards according to the final evaluation standard provided by the teacher last class.

In order to make every child learn something in swimming class, I divide the students' swimming level into three grades. The first level is the students who are proficient in breaststroke, the second level is the students who are not proficient in breathing, and the third level is the students who have not been exposed to swimming. The main task of the first-level students is to improve the breaststroke technique, the second-level students are to learn how to breathe, and the third-level students are to be familiar with the water (hold your breath and float in the water). In order to complete the classroom teaching tasks better and more effectively, I arrange different practice tasks and precautions for students at all levels in each class. Because of the need of teaching, I mainly tutor the third-level students, because children who have never learned to swim are afraid of water because they are not familiar with it. For the first-level students, I will select several students with strong management skills as the team leader, lead my team members to practice according to the action requirements and practice tasks put forward by the teacher, and select students with higher level and poor guidance skills. For the second-level students, I practice independently and help each other.

5. The first swimming lesson is held in the classroom, with the purpose of telling students some matters needing attention in swimming class, two of which are particularly important, one is the leave system. Compared with physical education class, the leave system for swimming lessons is stricter. The leave note should be signed not only by the parents, but also by the class teacher. The purpose is to let parents and class teachers supervise students' leave, and at the same time let class teachers know the situation of students' leave in swimming class. Another content is the final assessment standard of swimming class this semester. The purpose of doing this is to give students a general understanding of the final exam, which is conducive to students establishing a semester goal and working towards this goal.
