Talking about the Humidity in Summer
It's summer now, so let's take this opportunity to know the "wet" that we have to mention when it comes to summer.
What is pathogenic dampness?
All in all,
It is characterized by heavy turbidity, viscosity and a downward trend.
Pathogenic factors or pathological products,
Include external moisture and internal moisture,
Life is also often called.
"Wet" or "moisture".
External dampness
There are six natural phenomena in nature: wind, cold, heat, humidity, dryness and fire. When they are normal and orderly and do not cause diseases, we call them "six qi", which is the natural environmental condition for human survival and development; If the change is excessive, it will become a pathogenic factor, which is called "six evils" or "six evils", and wet evil is one of them. This refers to "wet outside", which means coming from the outside.
Internal dampness
In the process of trying to explain the world, ancient sages realized the similarity between man and nature. There are fog, dew, rain, snow, rivers, lakes and seas in nature, and there are various products formed by body fluid metabolism in human body; The abnormal movement of water in nature leads to dampness, and the human body will also get dampness due to the abnormal metabolism of body fluid, which is called "internal dampness", which means from the inside.
Are you wet?
Whether there is moisture in the body,
Judging mainly by the characteristics of damp evil,
Tracing the cause, onset season,
The season when the disease gets worse, etc.
Can assist in judgment.
Pathogenesis caused by dampness has the following characteristics and manifestations.
1. Wet turbidity and heavy turbidity
"Heavy" means that damp evil has a heavier characteristic in symptoms.
For example, if the wet resistance is in the head, there will be a heavy head; In the limbs, you will feel that the limbs are heavy and you can't lift them; In the whole body, there will be lazy performance; At the waist, you will feel that the waist is very heavy; At the joints, there will be joint pain and heavy feeling.
"Turbidity" means that when dampness causes disease, the secretions and excretions of the human body will be turbid.
For example, if the skin and muscle surface are wet, there will be rashes, blisters, sores and other pus, and eczema is a typical performance. If damp pathogen is on the stomach, it is manifested as thick and greasy tongue coating, greasy hair and face, many eyelids, sticky mouth and dirty face; When damp pathogen is in the lower position, it is easy to have turbid urine, pus with blood, and increased leucorrhea in women.
2. Wet viscosity
Diseases caused by pathogenic dampness are sticky and unpleasant.
Wet can't be formed without water. Water can increase the viscosity of an object. For example, it is difficult to clean mud when it spills on your body, but it is easy to clean it when it is dry. For example, when making cakes, add the right amount of water and knead the flour into a ball. The same is true of humidity in the human body. Wet body will make people feel that the skin is always sticky and dry, or the stool is always sticky, sticky to go to the toilet, unclean, poor defecation and stagnant urine.
Because damp pathogen is sticky, it will also show the characteristics of long course of disease, lingering and recurrent attacks.
Step 3: Wet down.
Dampness is prone to symptoms of the lower body.
Just like the water in nature flows downwards, all the moisture is gathered in the following places, and the moisture in the human body invades the lower part of the body more, which is prone to some manifestations, such as turbid urine, sticky stool, excessive excretion and heavy lower limbs.
However, this does not mean that pathogenic dampness only attacks the lower part of the human body. In fact, damp pathogens are widely distributed, ranging from muscle joints to viscera, from head to legs and feet, but the symptoms of the lower body are more common in clinic.
4. Dampness is a yin evil,
It is easy to frustrate Qi's actions and hurt Yang Qi.
Yin and Yang is an important concept in TCM. Simply put, it refers to the generalization of two interrelated and contradictory things or phenomena. Lively upward and outward is called "Yang", and quiet downward and inward is called "Yin". The two are opposites and will contain each other. For example, water is yin and fire is yang.
However, dampness changes from water to yin, which is easy to damage human yang, and people will show fear of cold, drowsiness and fatigue.
Damp pathogen is sticky and turbid, and its fluidity is not strong compared with qi. When there is dampness in the human body, it will block the operation of qi-moving machine, leading to chest tightness, abdominal distension, abdominal distension and loss of appetite.
How is dampness evil formed?
1, invasion of external humidity
The climate and environment are all in humid areas, such as low terrain, many forests, high humidity and easy to get wet in the south.
The living environment is always in the basement, low-lying rivers and other wet places, or leaks water, which is easy to be attacked by wet evil.
Wading in the rain, wrapped in wet clothes, and feeling the fog and dew in the early morning in the south are easy to get wet, as are people with weak spleen and stomach and who like swimming.
Workers who work in water all the year round are easy to get wet.
2. The formation of internal moisture
Traditional Chinese medicine believes that in the process of water-liquid metabolism, water first enters the stomach, and after the initial "processing" of the stomach, the essence of water-liquid is absorbed, transported and dispersed under the action of the spleen.
When the function of spleen and stomach is damaged, the metabolism of water and liquid will be affected, and it is easy to produce internal dampness.
Children with congenital deficiency of congenital factors have weak spleen and stomach function.
Eating habits such as overeating, overeating, cold and irritating food, and irregular diet are easy to damage the spleen and stomach.
Drinking all the year round is the evil of damp heat, and excessive drinking produces internal dampness.
Blowing air conditioner for a long time in summer blocks sweat pores and affects sweat excretion.
Bad emotions, such as impatience, anger, anxiety and overthinking, will affect the function of the spleen and stomach and cause internal dampness.
People who lack exercise are prone to poor blood circulation, slow metabolism, suppressed spleen and stomach function and internal dampness.
today,
We know what humidity is,
How the pathogenic dampness is formed,
I also checked whether there is moisture in my body.
So, this summer,
How can we prevent dampness and get rid of dampness?
