The newly bought cotton-padded jacket need not be washed. If there is an odor, it is recommended to put the cotton-padded jacket in a dry and ventilated place or dry it in the sun. Generally, the odor on the cotton-padded jacket can be removed in about two days. Cotton-padded clothes don't need to be cleaned as often as ordinary clothes. Generally speaking, if it is not very dirty, there is no need to clean it. Try not to wash it with a washing machine.

The cotton-padded jacket will leave dust and bacteria in the production process, and the clothes need formaldehyde in the printing and dyeing process. Because of the need of color fixation and wrinkle prevention, the cotton-padded jacket, which has just been bought home, should be put in the sun for a while, so don't wear it directly.

The method of washing cotton-padded clothes:

If the cotton-padded clothes are not too dirty, they can be dried in the sun for 2 to 3 hours, and then a basin of alkaline water or soap in the clothes can be washed clean with a wooden stick. After reaching the water temperature, wash the cotton-padded clothes repeatedly with a brush dipped in washing liquid, then change a basin of clean water, and wipe the washing liquid on the cotton-padded clothes with a clean cloth dipped in water.

Change the water frequently and keep it smooth until the surface of cotton-padded clothes is wiped clean. Hang the wiped cotton-padded clothes to dry. When drying quickly, you can iron it with an iron, and then gently pat the cotton coat with a wooden stick to restore the cotton to a soft state.
