Before I came to Hangzhou, I lived in the coastal city of Weihai. I like to go running at the seaside in summer. Before I left, I was particularly worried about having fun in summer.
After arriving in Hangzhou, I found that I didn't have to worry about this problem at all. There are many rivers in Hangzhou, which can fully meet my summer needs. In Hangzhou for two years, I have accumulated several good water treading points, with convenient transportation, clean streams and good environment.
Jiuxi Scenic Area Jiuxi is really recognized by Hangzhou people as a summer paradise and one of the best choices for summer vacation. Jiuxi originated in Yangmeiwu, meandering down Yanxialing and Longjing Mountain. There are many streams beside the sidewalk, which is very cool.
The water level of most streams is low, and the current is not fast. Adults and children can go in and play in the water without any burden. Children can swim in a little deeper (but be careful).
I suggest you go directly to Longjing Village (you can get there by car or bus), and then walk all the way along Xiaoxi to Jiuxiyan Village. Or go to Jiuxi Station, go to Li 'an Temple, and go down to play when you see a favorite stream.
If you want to make the stream deeper, wait until the rain clears. The stream will be bigger. You can also take a picnic cloth or a small tent, find a flat land, lie down and rest when you are tired of playing, or eat snacks to replenish your strength.
Jiuxi is also especially suitable for taking photos in summer. If you want to take beautiful and refreshing photos, it is recommended to wear a simple white shirt or T-shirt, bring a cattail leaf fan or a small round fan, and take photos with a forest or stream as the background.
Maojiabu Maojiabu is a scenic spot in the West Lake Scenic Area, but it is actually a good place with few beautiful people. When you get off at the bus stop, you can navigate to Wufeng Caotang, where you can see a quiet and wild stream.
I like it here for a big reason, that is, there are many big stones in the beaches and streams here, and you can feel the joy of turning over stones to find small crabs.
As night falls, you can hear vibrant insects croak and frogs croak on the way back. That moment was as peaceful and happy as the days I spent at my grandmother's house when I was a child.
I like Maojiabu, not only because I can play with water quietly, but also because of its unique scenery and atmosphere.
It is not as bustling as other West Lake attractions. It has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere and is beautiful all year round. There are many floodplains here, with large areas of Miscanthus and reeds. Especially in autumn, Miscanthus will gradually turn yellow, and its swaying in the sun is very dazzling.
In summer, Maojiabu has a wonderful light and shadow atmosphere. Large reeds are reflected in the water, predatory waterfowl make ripples in circles, and residents sitting on the shore are talking and laughing quietly. The whole picture is so beautiful.
I like going here in summer very much. Besides taking a leisurely walk and treading water to catch fish, you can also take many beautiful photos. If you want to take a picture of a quiet or childlike summer atmosphere, I also recommend you to go here.
Tianzhu road, a path in heaven, is also suitable for summer vacation. There are streams, temples and tea mountains along the way, which can be felt from the eyes to the soles of the feet. Along Tianzhu Road, from Fajing Temple and Fajing Temple to Faxi Temple, insects and cicadas are humming all the way, which is very quiet.
People who come here to tread water are usually nearby residents or Hangzhou locals. Compared with Jiuxi, they will be closer to life, which is the atmosphere of treading water at home.
It is recommended to walk along the inner side of the trail, especially the trail on Tianzhu, which is quiet and clear. The stream here is shallow and suitable for walking. It will be very comfortable to go down and ice your feet when you are tired.
The waterways here are narrow, so you can't play, such as fierce water fights, but you can still play.
In addition to the above-mentioned treading places, Shuangxi Village in Jingshan, Yuhang is a little far from the city center, and it is also a good place to play with water. Shuangxi Village, Jingshan, which is more than 30 kilometers away from Hangzhou, has both streams and camping camps. Not only can you tread water happily, but you can also camp in Linxi.
After driving to the tourist distribution center, you can try to park at the bottom of the ground parking lot (if it is too hot, it is best to park in the underground garage), and there is a small door next to it, so just go down to the park from there. If you need a cart to hold a lot of things, don't worry. There is also a ramp next to it, which is very convenient to get up and down.
When you get to the Green Ring Road, you will pass an arch named "Dream Shuangliu", and the stream will extend along the road. There will be more people at the door, so you can go in a little. After crossing a bamboo forest, it will be wider.
Find a good place to settle down and have fun.

The stream here is very wide, and it can also be called a small river. When the amount of water is not high, the shallow water on the side will drown the instep to the knees of adults. The flow rate is gentle, so it is safe to play.
The stream is clear and cool, and you will be extremely happy as long as you step into it. There are many small fish, shrimps and snails in the stream. You can really play for an afternoon by turning stones to catch fish.
Picnic camping
There is a large lawn in the park, so you can lie down and eat comfortably if you put on a picnic mat or set up a tent.
Before you go into the water, you can put all your watermelons and drinks into the stream to cool them. If it is a small thing, it is recommended to put it together in a small net. If not, remember to surround it with stones to prevent it from being washed away by the current.
Floating on the river
Trail mountains can also drift, which is why some people are willing to come here. Drifting starts from the upstream and you can navigate to No.7 Zhuhai Road, Shuangxi.
There are two kinds of rafting: bamboo rafting and kayaking. You can choose a bamboo raft if you like dull, and a kayak if you like excitement.
The wind is blowing along the stream, and the shore is lush trees or bamboo forests, which is very relaxing and comfortable. The whole process of rafting is relatively stable, and the clothes are not so wet. Everyone is dry when it is completely drifting. Raft rafting is relatively exciting. The dive start will make people feel the coolness of summer at once. The passage is urgent and slow, and there is a big platform for everyone to fight water. Be sure to prepare your equipment.
Finally, in order to make our water trip happier, it is natural to prepare something. The following items are recommended for your reference.
Equipment: tent, picnic mat, inflatable sofa, omelet table, box oven, charcoal grill, etc.
Toys: water gun, bubble machine, bucket, fishing net, etc.
Food: watermelon, drinks, beer, tin foil barbecue, birthday pot, etc.
Clothing: at least one set of clothes, shorts, towels, plastic sandals or non-slip shoes.
Others: sunscreen, mosquito spray, band-aid, fan and other small objects for taking pictures.
