This is the depths of the prairie, which is really endless. Clouds and rain dozens of kilometers away are clearly visible. The terrain on both sides of the road is undulating, and the stars and white spots are looming on the hills blown by the wind. boule de suif is generally dotted on the carpet woven by the grassland. I happened to meet a herdsman, riding a motorcycle and driving a sheep. Cotton balls seemed to dance between heaven and earth under the guidance of the lead dance. Through a large crop field, among the straw swaying with the wind, the tractors of farmers in the depths of agricultural land are exposed, and oil paintings are generally embedded in lush grasslands.
Ups and downs along the highway, over the hill to the highlands, a row of tail gas cars came into view. The conditions for wind power generation here are very good. Tall windmills and wide grasslands, white windmills and lush grasslands are so refreshing.
Walking, a grassland with sparse forests appeared on the roadside, which is no longer as prosperous and dense as grassland, with sparse bushes. Haloxylon ammodendron guards this land like a sentry.
Enjoy all the way, enjoy all the way. Unconsciously, we arrived at Xilinhot, the fourth stop in road trip. After lunch, we came to Pingdingshan Volcano Geopark, about 60 kilometers away from Xilinhot. (Ticket 20 yuan/person; Parking fee 10 yuan/time)
Pingdingshan Geopark consists of craters that erupted more than ten thousand years ago. Due to volcanic eruption and crustal movement, the tops of all peaks are cut like swords, hence the name Pingdingshan.
After parking the car and changing buses in the park, we came to the foot of Pingdingshan Group. Looking at Pingdingshan from a distance, you can see that the flat top of the mountain is connected in a straight line. The mountain is not high, and the tuff left by volcanic eruption is scattered all over the place. The grassland at the foot of the mountain is inhabited by local herders and their sheep.
There is another legend about Pingdingshan. Legend has it that these peaks used to be very sharp. Genghis Khan and Guo Dajin were already halfway when they attacked Yehuling. Resting at the foot of the mountain, a white fox appeared in his sight. Genghis Khan ordered people to chase the white fox, but the white fox ran to the mountains and disappeared. Genghis Khan sent someone to look for it, but there was no result. In a rage, he picked up his combat knife and cut it into a flat head. Since then, the mountain here has been named Pingdingshan.
Climbing to the top of the mountain along the scientific research plank road, we came to the flat-topped platform. There are really no peaks like other peaks, but they are also slightly inclined. There are many stone piles piled by people on the top of the mountain for praying. It is said that the higher the pile, the closer the blessing is. Large and small stone piles add a bit of sacred color to this place.
Sitting on the rock at the top of the mountain and looking down, it is also a small cliff similar to Shitou Mountain in Taibus Banner. It is said that when China explorers first came here to explore, they climbed up the rocks with their instruments on their backs, and they could not help but be awed.
In addition to high scientific research value, the "sunset" beauty of Pingdingshan is also quite famous as one of the nine scenic spots in Xilin. The mountains are like a huge projection curtain. When the sky is blue and the clouds are white, the floor is covered with green felt. When the sun sets, the whole mountain group is infected with the afterglow of the sunset, and the sunset is inlaid on the top of the mountain like pearls. Heaven and earth intersect, and Xiaguang is everywhere.
Park your car in the parking lot before sunset, take the park shuttle bus into the mountains for sightseeing, and drive in at sunset to enjoy the beautiful sunset slowly on the platform. Sunset time varies from season to season.
After returning to Xilinhot, we had a delicious meal of wine and meat, bought some local specialties and tourist supplies, rested early and saved energy for the last day's trip.
On the fourth morning, we packed our bags and prepared to go to the last stop of this trip-Darinol Lake, and returned to Beijing directly from here after the tour. Dalinor Lake is located in Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, about an hour's drive from Xilinhot City. The Chinese translation of "Darinol Lake" is "a lake as wide and beautiful as the sea", which is a semi-salty lake and the second largest inland lake in Inner Mongolia. There are two sister lakes, Gungennor Lake and Duolennor Lake. The Liangzi River, Gong Geer River and Shali River connect the three lakes like lead.
The north shore of Lake Darinol is a mature tourist attraction with complete facilities, which is convenient for tourists to visit. We didn't enter the scenic spot, so we went south along the path from the entrance of the scenic spot and found the next point. This area is an undeveloped original ecological landscape. You can drive to the lake from the next point, cross the sand belt and walk through the wetland, and you can come to the lake.
Sand belt is a special geomorphic unit on grassland. At first, it was a pale white solid sand with some dry and sparsely planted shrubs. The farther you go to the river, the less shrubs there are, the softer the sand on the ground becomes, and gradually some groundwater begins to emerge. The deeper you go, the higher the water content, the muddy it is, and even some small puddles appear.
Driving into the lake beach from the next point is not difficult at first. Two-wheel drive, SUV and four-wheel drive can all go, just to avoid some deep ditches and scattered bushes. Keep driving, soft sand can easily lead to traffic jams. Try to get off the bus first and test the road conditions on the spot, and find dry and solid ground as the driving route. When the water content of sand gradually increases, it is easy to get stuck in the car, and the muddy roadside is also easy to cover the lines on the tires, which increases the safety hazard. Be sure to drive carefully When it is less than 100 meters away from the lake, the ordinary four-wheel drive SUV can't move forward and can only walk to the lake. When we walk to the beach by the lake, we will always find traces of cars trapped in the car (broken tow rope, peripheral side skirts, etc. ).
If you only look at photos, it really looks like the sea here. It's just calm and shallow. Get off the bus and walk to the lake. The sand soaked in water on the shore is more stable. You can take a walk, put your camera on a tripod and sit on the floor and look at the sky. The light blue sky, the transparent clouds, the shallow lake beach, the lake in Ming Che and the microwave kissed by the sun make people want to press the pause button of time, stop there and don't want to leave.
The ecological protection here is excellent. Darinol Lake is known as "a paradise for birds" and the third largest swan lake in China. Bird 134 species, including 5 species of national 1 class protected animals, such as red-crowned crane, white stork, black stork, bustard, jade belt sea eagle, etc. Swan, cygnet, grey crane, white crane and other national second-class protected animals 18 species, and 2 1 species are listed in the priority sequence of bird species diversity protection in China Biodiversity Conservation Action Plan. Dalinuoer Lake is located in Inner Mongolia Plateau, with high terrain, good lighting conditions, vast water surface and few people. Secondly, the island fortification in the lake area is not only a good place for local birds to inhabit and breed, but also an important breeding ground and resting place for migratory birds migrating from Siberia to the southeast coast of China.
With eyes and hearts cleaned by nature, we embarked on the road back to Beijing. The ease and leisure here make us nostalgic, and this will never be the last time we travel around this route. Inner Mongolia, see you soon.
About diet: you must try the cattle and sheep here when you come to Inner Mongolia. The local animal husbandry is extremely developed, and the natural pasture and leisurely life make the cattle and sheep here very delicious. No matter how you eat them, you can taste the unique delicious food on the grassland. If you have the chance, you can try the fresh milk sold by local herders, which is usually sold in the morning market in the urban area. You need to cook it directly after you buy it, and the shelf life is very short, only two or three hours.
Caution: It is easy to overspeed on the grassland. The herdsmen's pasture is very large, and there are often cattle and sheep strolling along the national road.
Don't crush the grassland while driving.
Be sure to check the condition of the car, especially the tires, before driving for a long distance. Arrange rest reasonably and don't drive tired.
Inner Mongolia has strong ultraviolet rays, so pay attention to sun protection. There is a big temperature difference between morning and evening, so take your coat. If you want to photograph the Milky Way, you should prepare a thick coat.
