Introduction to phenolphthalein:
Phenolphthalein is a chemical substance prohibited by the state from being used in health-care and weight-loss foods. Phenolphthalein can cause dermatitis, drug eruption, itching, burning pain, enteritis, bleeding tendency and so on. Long-term abuse can cause electrolyte disorder, induce arrhythmia, unconsciousness, muscle spasm and fatigue.
This method is suitable for rapid detection of phenolphthalein.
The method mentioned in this article requires the following materials (please prepare it yourself or consult our sales staff).
YH-S phenolphthalein rapid detection kit
Detection principle:
Phenolphthalein is colorless under neutral conditions and red under alkaline conditions.
Detection steps:
1. Sample pretreatment:
1) sampling according to different dosage forms: the contents of hard capsules are about1g; The weight of soft capsule extrudate is 65438 0 g; ; Granules, tablets, pills, etc. Grinding into powder, weighing 65438±0g g.
2) Take reagent A, add the sample into the test tube, cover it, shake it vigorously 1 ~ 2~3min, and let it stand for 2~3min until the upper solution is clear.
2. Sample detection: use 0.5mL plastic straw to absorb the upper sample treatment solution, add 3 ~ 5 drops of reagent B, cover it, shake it evenly, and immediately observe the color of the solution.
Result judgment:
If the solution is pink to purplish red, it is judged as positive (+); Otherwise, it is judged as negative (-); (Sometimes the solution concentration is low, and the color fades quickly. Please pay attention to the observation when dropping the sample treatment solution). ?
detection range
The reference method is 0.03 mg/mL, and the capsule is1.0 mg/g.
Precautions:
1.? The kit is only used for qualitative screening.
2.? The higher the drug concentration, the darker the color.
3.? The reagent is corrosive or toxic, so avoid contact with skin. If it accidentally gets into your eyes, please rinse it with plenty of water immediately.
The method recommended in this paper is used for common rapid detection and cannot be used as a legal basis.
