Collection method of goat milk
Correct milking is very important for maintaining normal lactation of ewes and ensuring stable and high yield. The milking methods vary according to regional habits and ewe individuals, and fist-clenching and sliding squeezing methods are generally adopted. Some countries use milking machines for milking.
Routine fist-clenching method: This method is suitable for medium or slightly long nipples of dairy goats. The milkman sat beside the ewe, and first grasped the roots of the two nipples with his thumb and forefinger, so that the milk in the nipples could not flow back. Then the middle finger, the ring finger and the little finger palm are gathered and squeezed in turn, and the milk in the nipple is squeezed and discharged through the opening and closing action of the fingers. Repeat this operation and keep milking.
Sliding extrusion type: this method is suitable for dairy goats with small nipples. The milkman sat beside the ewe, pinched the roots of the two nipples with the thumb and forefinger of both hands, squeezed down and squeezed out the milk in the nipples. In order to increase the lubricating power of fingers, some lubricating vegetable oil can be coated on nipples.
