Chaoyang School in Chengbei District of Xining City was founded in the 12th year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (AD 1873). Located at No.6 Chaoyang West Road, Chengbei District, formerly known as Chaoyang Primary School. In August, 2007, during the school layout adjustment of Xining Education Bureau, it was renamed Chaoyang School after receiving the original 18th Middle School and some schools. At present, there are nearly 2600 students, 44 classes and 146 faculty members. It is the nine-year compulsory school with the largest scale and the largest number of students in Chengbei District.
