Burao Community is located in the southwest of Jieyang City, and the provincial highway S236 passes through the territory. The village covers an area of 1 km2 and consists of two economic consortia, with a total population of 5 125 and * * *1/05 households. The community economy is dominated by steel rolling, hardware and injection molding, and the demolition and purchase of old machinery has gradually formed a scale. Tongyu, Kaisheng Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., Huaxing Shun Plastic Co., Ltd., Lian Kai Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. and Li Lide Hardware Co., Ltd. in the residential area are all big taxpayers in Rongcheng District. In 2008, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the village was more than 300 million yuan, and the per capita income was 5060 yuan. It is a community with strong economic strength in Meiyun, and has been rated as a civilized village and an advanced party branch by the city and district for many times. Shrike community is also a famous hometown of overseas Chinese. Overseas Chinese living abroad account for more than half of the population in their hometown. Since the reform and opening up, overseas Chinese have repeatedly donated huge sums of money to support public welfare undertakings in their hometown.

Burao Village is adjacent to Chaodong Village, Xiaqiao Village, Kuidi Village, Neipan Village, Tangqian Village, Xia Chao Village, Hecuo Village, Wu Shuang Village, Daxi Village, Xinxiang Village, Dawei Village, Pan Mei Village, Guang Yun Village and Houyang Village.

On September 1 day, 2020, Ali Research Institute announced Taobao Village in 2020, and Shrike Village was on the list.

There are some tourist attractions near Burao Village, such as the former site of gay revolutionary activities (Jieyang), Huang Qishan Scenic Area, Rongcheng Shuangfeng Temple, Jieyang Guandi Temple (ancient temple) and former residence (Dingguanglu Palace). There are crispy tofu, Jieyang soy sauce, winter tea, Thompson scissors, and local blue crabs.
