The doctor will light one end of the moxa stick and quickly press it on the surgical site. If a bird pecks at it, it will be explosive. This is 1 strong, 3 ~ 6 strong at a time, so as not to burn the skin. Note that when doing moxibustion on the head, the hair should be pushed outward as far as possible, so that the acupoints are fully exposed and easy to operate.
Moxibustion preparation: At present, Han Yifeng's "Taiyishen needling method" is mostly used: moxa stick 100g, sulfur 6g, musk, frankincense, myrrh, rosin, cassia twig, Eucommia ulmoides, Fructus Aurantii, Gleditsia sinensis, asarum, Ligusticum Chuanxiong, Radix Angelicae Pubescentis, Pangolin, Realgar, Radix Angelicae Dahuricae and Scorpio 3g each. Except moxa, the other medicines are ground into fine powder and mixed evenly.
Use a piece of mulberry paper, about 30cm square in width, and lay it flat. First, take 24g of wormwood, spread it evenly on paper, then take 6g of medicinal powder, mix it evenly in wormwood, then roll it tightly like firecrackers, apply it externally with egg white, and then paste it with 1 layer of mulberry paper, leaving 3cm paper at both ends, and tighten it. Prepare more than two at a time.
Specific operation: at the same time, light two Taiyi needles, one for standby, the other wrapped with 10 paper, and press the selected moxibustion point tightly. If the patient feels too hot, the moxa stick can be slightly lifted, and moxibustion can be repeated after the heat is reduced. If the fire goes out and gets cold, you can use the spare moxa stick and apply moxibustion in the same way. Another rekindled moxibustion. Repeated moxibustion in this way, moxibustion at each acupoint 10 times or so.
Modern people use the following methods to apply moxibustion. The casing is made of special brass or copper, with a length of about 80cm and an inner diameter of 1.8cm. The upper end of the casing is equipped with a copper plug, which is screwed tightly with a tight fit. The lower end is an open sleeve, about 6cm long, which is closely attached to the sleeve. The end face of the sleeve is wrapped with cotton cloth and the outside is fixed with rope.
When in use, the sleeve covered with cotton cloth is pulled out, then the moxa stick (Taiyi needle) is put into the sleeve, then the moxa stick is lit, the open sleeve is installed, and it is directly placed on the selected acupuncture point for moxibustion. If the patient feels hot, he can lift it gently and slowly, or adjust the distance between the moxa stick and the cotton cloth until the patient feels warm and comfortable. Moxibustion lasts for 20 to 30 minutes each time.
The above methods are daily or every other day 1 time, and 12 times is a course of treatment. Preparation of Moxibustion Apparatus: Take 20 grams of Realgar, 2 grams of Borneolum Syntheticum, 0/gram of Musk, 0/0 gram of Glauber's salt, 30 grams of Radix Aconiti, 30 grams of Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii, 20 grams of Radix Angelicae Dahuricae and 60 grams of refined moxa. Then spray moxa with a small amount of distiller's yeast, then evenly sprinkle the powder into moxa, fully rub it with your hands and dry it in the shade. Take 2g of the above medicinal Artemisia argyi, spread it evenly on soft and tough mulberry paper of 20cm×7cm, and roll it into strips of 1.5 ~ 2mm according to the above method.
